Hi,

I would like to update my single i7 WS to a dual shocket MoBo - 2x Xeon WS with the:
- Asus Server Z10PA-D8
- 2x Intel Xeon E5 2683 V4

I have an ATX sized Arc Midi R2 case which would only fit the Asus Z10PA  and not the E-ATX  Z10PE

Are there any downsides using a server board in this enviroment? (Other then I need some cheap external sound card)

It would cost me ~250 € more to buy a new case and the Z10PE-D8 WS MoBo.

Thanks

Ps: Black Friday help me thru this :D

By the looks of it, the Arc Midi R2 is the same frame and interior as Define R4. And you can fit a Z10PE in Define R4. It's tight, but it fits.
Otherwise, connectivity is the only issue. Other than that, I'd be careful with those 2683V4, especially if they are engineering samples.

Oh thanks for pointing out the V4 ES issue.. did not know that! I'll go with the V3 then.
