Hi there,

I read a few days ago in this forum how to light up a scene with HDRIs.

I just installed RC A6.2 and something seems to have changed (or maybe I'm doing something wrong)

They "way" is still to put the HDRI into the diffuse channel (and if needed use the c4d filter to play with gamma) and apply it to a C4D sky object? Not a Corona Sky, not a Physical Sky?

Cheers,

Stefano

Yes, that's the way I'm doing it right now, I'm just not sure sure how to tackle the shadow catcher at the mo.

It always worked with the c4d sky object.
But i have a different question. Not sure if its a bug or im doing something wrong.
Wenn i put the HDR in the diffuse channel and put the c4d filter on top, to play with the gamma, my HDR renders just grey. If i lower the exposure i see the sky texture, but the is almost no lighting.
Somehow the c4d filter is turing the HDR in a simple 8 bit texture.
Can somebody reproduce this?
I have to add, that i build the scene with corona A5.1 and the problem just occured with my 2nd mashine with Corona A4.2, i then upgraded this mashine to A6.2 and it didnt change.
