Hi there, are you using the viewport IR for this? Does it happen if you run a default or final render?
please use cinema c4 r21  to get this "effect"

32
hello here a test scene,
it seems to be related to bloom & glare, a refractive material and or a self illuminated material, test the scene once without and with the highlight solver and leave both rendering bllom and glare on

33
my scene is extreme bright when i enable the new highlight solver
i have two sky objects (first only visible directly, second only reflect, frfract and Gi) the sceneis loaded within a xref object
any ideas?

Hi im relativly new to coronna and c4d
I have to recreate the given photo.
My question ist: How do I correctly apply the scratches/smudges shader for the floor ?

Somehow multiply does not work in the material node editor (see screenshots) and I cant get the result right..
The multiply layer mode doesnt do anything actually. in normal/add layer mode the white part of the shader is visible..

thanks in advance

you are trying to multiply the map with a not visible layer
you dont have to multiply, only when you want to create some variation to the map (like differnt patterns) but there arent any other layers visible
additionally use a filter (use contast or brightness here) between the map to enhance or attenuate the effect

for this material i would create a layered material with two colors. first this oker color and then this slightly green bluish color. you can easily combine both materials using masks (layered noise maps or texture maps). I would then use bump maps and different levels of reflection for both materials, so that the floor achieves a more worn look. Finally, I would put a few imperfaction maps over it, depending on that.

[C4D] Feature Requests / Support for AMD GPU Denoiser ?
« on: 2023-07-27, 16:00:26 »
hello, we have purchased amd graphics cards and therefore can no longer use the Nvidea (fast preview) denoiser. Is it possible to integrate something like the nvidea denoiser for amd graphics cards. I have seen that there is also a denoiser from amd, but I do not know if you can denoise via the gpu.

https://gpuopen.com/fidelityfx-denoiser/#features

would be in any case a great added value.

hello, i read that the corona material library system will be integrated into cosmos.

https://trello.com/c/CnYaaKq8/131-unify-cosmos-and-corona-material-library

Since Cosmos is (currently) not dockable in the Cinema 4D layout, I wonder how this will look in the future. Would be wonderful the possibility to dock Cosmos in Cinema 4D Layout.

I looked into this a little while back. In the end the conclusion of most of the reviews I read at the time were that the standard 7950x was better for work (rendering etc) and the 3D version was better for games.
Your choice.

yes, i agree. here are some 7950x + 3D Benchmarks

We are also going to build up new workstations, heres our setup (Without Ram, Cooling, Power and Case:
Price Range will be 2500-2900 € when its build up.
CPU: AMD 7950x
Motherboard: ASUS ProArt X670E (If you work with a 10Gbit Network)
DDR5:
Graphics:  RX 6800 XT
Samsung M2 Pro 1TB

See Processor Benchmark

You also can look around for an Intel 13900ks CPU.

first result is here

7950x3D

https://corona-renderer.com/benchmark/results/cpu/7950x3d

seems it is a bit slower than the 7950x but Freq. [GHz] is also lower (dont know it has rendered with its full potentical)

Hey folk,
Because we build up new computers, Has anyone Informations between the Performance between These two CPUs with corona renderer?

Because the x3D has more Cache, does it mean render time will be performer?

Found this from another thread

6) Corona is heavily memory limited - this means that the CPU spends most of its time waiting for the memory to provide data to be operated on. This also means that the cache size and speed is one of the most important factors in Corona performance.

Sure I think we have to wait for the first corona benchmark results to get more clearity, but it is already tingling in the fingers to assemble the new computers
