[C4D] General Discussion / Helpdesk is responding! :)
« on: 2019-01-15, 18:03:04 »
Hi,
I have a serious issue with your license server. I reported it yesterday evening and hoped to get a reply within this business day.
I´m not able to render on all machines, witch is really an issue, so I have to consider whether I should go back to the beta version with the farm, so that I can at least render.
I have a little time slot for the transition, that´s why I decided to buy the upgrade. I knew there might be problems, but it's not good if the time i have to troubleshoot is wasted by waiting.

So please, I need some response.
regards Andreas

Hi,
i know that some features take time and motion blur is not an easy task. But it is essential in a modern render engine, and it is working in max. So it is not a crazy idea from an artist who wants a feature that nobody else needs. :)
I have to say that I´m overall quite happy with the development and the implementation in C4D, so good job, thanks!

I uploaded a file for you to play around with deformation blur: 1546983341_Horse-MB.zip

hope this helps and keep up the good work.

[C4D] Bug Reporting / Deformation Motion Blur not working
« on: 2019-01-08, 14:21:00 »
Hi,
deformation blur is not working in the final release.
Is this a bug or is this supposed to never work in C4D.
As corona4C4D has the same pricetag as max, it should offer more or less the same features, right?

Let me guess, you're already working on it. ;-)

Hi,
alembic files are not rendered with object motion blur.
Would be great if this works in one of the next versions.

A test scene is uploaded.

So I am not imagining things ^^

No, you do not imagine things, as far as I can tell.  ;-)

I have the same issue and found out, that this is most of the time happening after changing a parameter in the scene.
It happens rarer after opening a scene and just hitting render.
And this issue is strongly connected to Object MB.

It would be very cool if you could sort this out.

[C4D] General Discussion / Re: Deadline + Cinema + Corona
« on: 2018-01-31, 13:32:23 »
I´m using RoyalRender instead of Deadline, but it is basically the same.
Just copy the corona folder from your plugins folder to the corresponding location on your render clients.
Or you run the installer on all clients. That way you make sure, all Microsoft redistributables are installed as well.

... If implementing a DR option means killing off that ability to use those shaders on slave machines, then please, please don't do it, or at least make it optional. V-Ray is great but its a major pain in the backside weeding out all the materials that don't work over DR ...

I just wanted to say that i agree in this :)
Regards,
Henrik

I could´t agree more. The possibility to use C4D shaders is a major plus in corona.

Hi Nikola,

thanks for your honest answer.
Corona is getting better and stable with every build (almost ;-) ), so I´m pretty sure it will work some day.

thanks a lot and merry Christmas
Andreas

Ops, Cestmir, my bad... sorry :)
how could I confuse you with a violet pony ;-)

however, I´m glad you could reproduce the issue.
I´m always happy to help!

Hi Ondra,

I´m uploading via DropBox.
The SceneFiles name is: AFP_1200-X-K1_0-360.c4d

please consider the scene as confidential.

If you turn on Motion Blur, it will crash.
