Hi there,

My question is in the subject : how to convert Chaos Scatter to an object/multiple objects that I can modify ??

Example : Scatter dispatches my vertical joineries but some of them have to be taller to follow the glass. Once converted into an object, I can do it manually. (see image)

I used to do it with mograph and that was very usefull but it seems I can't do that from chaos scatter. Any ideas ??

To my dear Corona staff : If it's not possible yest, maybe it could become a new feature for next version ? I don't know for other users but I used that really often (and I became addict to chaos scatter, i don't want to use mograph anymore ! :) ...)

Hello,

UV Tiling appears in the Corona Bitmap shader. By default, the Cinema 4D Shader Bitmap is activated for the bitmap. There is no this option in it. Therefore, you need to add the Corona Bitmap shader in the node editor, set it to UDIM and attach the first bitmap for the character there.

So, I finally had the time to try that solution but it doesn't work at all. And that's generate new problems : node editor become more and more slower as I add Corona Bitmap (sometimes more than 1 minute just for loading picture or move content in the node editor), wrong pictures appears in miniature, model become all black in viewport ... And same seamless problem still appears in rendering... It took more than two hours to just change 2 materials... It makes me crazy (but I still love corona !)

I solved this using the Corona Bitmap node, and set the UV tiling mode to Udim (do this first).  Then select your daz image file (I found renaming them Diffuse_1001.jpg, Diffuse_1002.jpg etc.) worked a treat.  It will then treat the whole area as one (from a SSS point of view) and load the corresponding map where required (so face, lips, ears is 1001, torso is 1002).

Dear users,
I have a problem with my new machine and i don't think it comes from Corona software but maybe you will be abble to help me.

Scene parsing duration is ten to twenty times longer than with my older machine.

So my question is : what is exactly happened in the scene parsing ? Is it something in relation with texture loading ? What exactly can slow the scene parsing ?

Config info about my new machine (way bigger than the older one) :
 AMD ryzen threadripper 3960X, 256GB ram, windows 10 64bits, Geforce RTX3080, C4D R19, Corona 6 HF1.
As my older machine, C4D Scene is on sata hardrive, C drive is a SSD and Texture database on a another SSD.
The only difference is : my older machine use SSD M2 but the new one use "simple" SSD.

Just another precision : I tried with R23 demo and have the same problem. Also, loading scene is abnormally long (that's why I think about a problem with the textures loading)

Thanks a lot if you have any suggestions about the scene parsing process, I feel so disapointed to have a Lamborghini and use it as an old Ford T ...

Somebody seems to find a way to resolve the problem by changing UV Tiling mode to UDIM and interpolation to Bilinear Faster in the Picture Shader Tab. But a new problem has come : I cannot find UV Tiling option in the Shader Tab ???

Has somebody know where is it ?

I try to use skin material on a full body mesh from DAZ3D OBJ export.
To make the shader, I used this tutorial :

My problem is the shader or/and the texture doesn't match and "borders" are visible as in screen shot linked.

Do you have any idea about that ?

Hi Flo,
Maybe it's too late for an answer but maybe it will be usefull for other people.
I had exactly the same problem I think.
The error message from RebusFarm Quickcheck was : Error Pluginshader corona shared (1040749) are not supported
I didn't have this problem before Corona 6 (c4d).

So after hours of debugging my scene in all the way possible, I found what's going wrong and its easy to solve : some materials from Maxtree Collection (and in your case, maybe from other model collection or selfmade materials) contains Shared Properties, you just have to rebuild your material by replacing original texture in place of all textures named with "texturename(shared)" or "texturename(bitmap)".

To be more accurate, in my case the problem seems to only exist with MAXTREE PlantModel vol016 (I have many others collection and at this point, I do not have Error message with it).

Maybe it's not the solution you expected but in case of rush, you can do this to be able to render with rebus....

Hi everyone,

I have the same problem here. Description made by Marton Lente is perfect.

I have a scene with maybe around 100 proxies and this is hell to manage, it takes 10 to 30 minutes to refresh a view after a single move of an object. Visualisation method (wire, full mesh or points) is not working at all, all the scene is becoming impossible to modify...

I truly not understand how such a bug is possible...

I use this scene as a xref and its totally destroy my main scene... Production flow is now a production slow. Something easy to made (10 minutes max) need almost an hour to achieve...

My system config : C4D R19, Corona 4,windows 10 pro 64bits, Geforce RTX 2080, direct X 12.0, Nvidia pilot DCH 430.86, IntelCore i9-9900K, 64Go Ram....

Is anybody has an idea about how improve scene with lot of trees ??

Thank you so much for taking time to answer, Lollolo. That's the way I used to perform my proxies with Corona 3 without any problems. But with Corona 4, it simply doesn't work with multi textured models... It works with a single texture only.

Here is an example...

Dear users and Corona team,

I have just purchased last week Corona 4 after one month of trial with Corona 3 and a new problem appears.

Problem : proxies seems to doesn't support a single object with more than one texture on it. In this case, proxies still totally white, I don't understand, all was working with corona 3.

I am working on a client project for monday with lot of vegetation but all the trees and flowers are just ...white... No textures at all.

Is anybody have the same problem or an idea about this case ?

PS more info : I am running on PC windows 10, Cinema 4D R19, Corona 4 and huge coffe mugs...
