Hello, i've been using corona with cinema 4d for asome time, i think i evolved nicely but i still can't get render to look beautifull. They look ok but i feel i am missing a lighting setting. Are any interior designers willing to send some feedback?

Have a look at sites that sell cheap models, like 3dsky.org
They have good affordable models.
As for the lighting, there is no focus. Don't be afraid to start darker and have accent light rather than having everything very light or evenly lit. Rather have a slightly darker scene and exaggerate the light sources. Like the table lamp and wall lights, I know they are on but I cannot see any effect.
Also, play with the light temperature, ie have a cool/ whiter ambient light with a warmer light from the wall scone and/ or table lamp.
Your textures all look the same. I cannot differentiate between fabric and timber/ leather/ walls....appart from the colours.
especially the bedding looks like plastic. some bump creases would go a long way :)
And then the smoothing they have mentioned above

Sorry to hack this thread.... Is this something In windows or the PC?
I have 2x of the same machines, one at home and one at the office.
I notice the one at home render 100% utilization, the one at office I get almost 40% but the speed of cpu is also SUPER low......

I dont think I have rendered the same scens though... I will test this scene at home tonight but this is SUPER SLOW.

I just had a look, my cpu usage stay under 50%......

Okay great, has anything changed in your scene that is now allowing it to render without crashing?

ok, I have tried the crash scene again on the latest daily and it works perfectly. Thank you!

This is currently being investigated. Hopefully, we'll know more soon.

I have tried it again today with the latest daily build and it renders perfect...

Confirmed, crashes here, too.
And in the bug report there's the corona hair object mentioned again, although there is no hair anywhere near this scene.

It's either a conspiracy of the bald or a nasty, very far reaching bug.

Thank you!

Is there a way to lock the licence rather than to connect to the internet constantly?

Thanks for looking into this!

I dont have the latest build installed anymore and I never checked the core usage.
I do have a AMD Ryzen 9 3950X (16 Core), not sure if that help at all

It is called bug.rar

I am uploading the scene to dropbox with all the maps etc.
PLEASE keep it to yourself, the client have not yet presented... it is WIP.

I saw the biggest issue/ time difference on Take "BAR", rendered at 5000 pixels

[C4D] Daily Builds / Latest Nightly render Extremely slow
« on: 2021-04-08, 11:38:22 »
I have a fairly big scene......

Rendering with the latest nightly (March 31) I rendered 13 hours and my noise level was around 10% if I recall correctly.
Rendering the same scene with the previous nightly (Feb 17th Daily) , after 54 min it is on 10% noise already.
