Hi everyone, lately my corona is stoping the render all in a sudden, sometimes it renders for 1h other times 5h... and I haven't set any limits.
I've even upgraded my rams to 64gb, thinking that could be the problem. but still not fixed.

Anyone with similar problem?

im using corona 6.0 Aug 25 2020

my c4d is the r18 version. using windows 10.

thanks in advance

Hello,

I can see how this can be very frustrating. Does this happen for every scene?
I will try to look into Corona v6 for R18 if I get the same behavior, and we'll work from that.

If this happens only for a particular scene, would it be possible to send the scene over? https://corona-renderer.com/upload
If you happen to see the stop happen, please, make sure you have saved your scene and press Left Shift, Right Shift and Delete (This will force quit C4D and create a log file), go to %appdata%/Maxon/ and inside Maxon Cinema 4D R18, open _bugreports and send us _BugReport.txt. This may help a lot with our investigation.

Thanks,
Jan

thanks for the quick answer... well this happens in multiple scenes, and i can't notice when it stops, since it's random and gives no error message or anything.
Before the ram upgrade. I'd get the corona error related to the ram, but since then I get no message but the render still stops.. even with ram at 40%.

In any way, even if you come to the render stopped after a while, can you still do the force quit and report the log? Maybe we can salvage something from it.

Thanks,
Jan

I've let a big scene render overnight and it also stopped at 1136 in R18. I will log this internally for our dev team and probably try other versions of C4D today/over the weekend.
Thank you for reporting!

1601020601_BugReport.txt

I've uploaded my report. It rendered for about 1h30. and after set to render again.. it rendered for about 11h until I stop it. I'd assume it's something random.
thanks in advance.

Thank you!
We'll see if there is something to do with that. I don't think I was getting this issue in R21, but I can see how different the versions are if you are used to R18 :)

thats true.. im really used to the R18..  Have installed the new r23 to try it.. and feels so different, and lots plugins I use dont work with it :x .. that's my main reason for still using r18.
