Hello!

This time I'd love to share another vegetation-focused project called 'Houseplant delight'. Interior plants are a whole different story but I'm pretty satisfied with the results.
I have also experimented with a different lighting scenario and so was the little video clip born (don't forget to turn the volume up):

More shots available at:

Tasks: Design / Rendering / Compositing / Editing / Color Grading
Software used: 3dsmax / Corona Renderer

All the best,
Artur.

This is so good, easily some of the most appealing CG images I've ever seen.

How did you do the lighting - is it just HDRI? Would love to see a making-of, probably not alone in that thought. :)

Thank you so much! I really appreciate it!

The lighting is hdri indeed :) The day one is 1658 PG hdri, and if you wish I can check the other ones too.
There might be something coming up considering making of / tutorials so stay tuned ;)

Amazing! Would love to see another animation with the lighting set up like it is in the images.

Fantastic details, every shot has such nice unique features, well done!

edit:
Im guessing you heavily edit the materials of the models you download correct (mostly plants Im referring to)?

Yeah this is spectacular, no two ways about it. Great work! I have to ask about the vegetation; can you describe where you sourced some of these plant models?

Thank you all!! It means a lot!

Most of the plants are from 3dsky and megascans:
https://3dsky.org/3dmodels/show/monstera_4
https://3dsky.org/3dmodels/show/orkhidieia_2_2
https://3dsky.org/3dmodels/show/kollektsiia_rastenii_dratsena
https://3dsky.org/3dmodels/show/hedera_helix_wonder
https://3dsky.org/3dmodels/show/interior_flower_pack_50

There's not as much tweaking as you might think, though :) I usually add front/back texture and colorcorrection to diffuse, play around with translucensy and reflection. But what might help in bringing the materials forward is the lighting. Still, there's only hdri as a source but getting that sweet spot of contrast seems to bring life into the image. I hope that helps a bit :)

Yes as others have said fantastic work!
I for one would be very interested if you were to do some tutorials such as a Patreon like Johannes Lindvquist has.
