Hi,

This issue seems to be fixed in the new Corona 12 DB. Can you please try it and let me know if the problem persists?

You can download the latest Corona 12 DB from here: https://forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php?topic=41598.0

[Max] I need help! / Re: Corona License Not Found
« on: 2024-03-26, 11:29:29 »
Hi,

I've sent a ticket to Chaos with the same message as below.

Does anyone here have any ideas?

I can see there have been license issues today

https://status.chaos.com/

Thanks
--------------------------------------

All of a sudden we've lost our Corona licenses in the office.

This happened last week too but seemed to sort itself out.

We can't do anything, render, material editor is slow or frozen etc.

I've attached 2x screenshots.

This is affecting all 11x systems.

Do you know why this is happening and how it can be stopped in the future?

We can't do anything at the moment until Corona works again.

Thanks

Can you share the ticket number which you have already raised in our system?

Here are some solutions which you can try:

- Render your frames in a higher resolution and downscale them in postproduction.
- Use an Image Filter with a higher Width value - it will suppress the moiré pattern and other artifacts by slightly blurring the image during rendering (you can choose your image filter and change its width in
- 3ds Max: Render Setup > System > Frame Buffer > Image Filter
- Cinema 4D: Render Settings > Corona > Frame Buffer Settings

combine all keys, select the top face, apply a unwrap and do a normal mapping, give each face a seperate ID then either use Corona multimap or multi sub object to apply different textures and materials to every key.

OR

Take the unwrap to photoshop and manually paint or put numbers in 1 single texture and use that single texture in 1 materials and be done with it.

OR

you should be able to use decals also, it should not be that big of a issue. you can also use align tool to align decals to key centers.

Hi,

Can you check if this is also happening with Coron 11 HF 1? also where are you saving your scene? In a network drive or local drive?

8
Hi,

Maybe the script I am attaching below would work fine for you.

PS: The script will not work if the normal map is not plugged to Corona physical or legacy material and that material is not applied to any object in the scene.

9
It was always like that.

You can control all those things from light properties itself. For your case disable "occlude other lights" for the light to not block any other light.

Hi,

Thanks for attaching the logs. According to the logs, render is failing every time followed by the following errors:

1. Render failed
2. This scene contains a Chamfer modifier from a later version of 3ds Max, which may require features not supported in this version. Loaded Chamfer version: 500; current Chamfer version: 410.
3. The Populate data is missing on your system.
4. Graphics driver requested by the user : Nitrous
5. Graphics driver actually created in the viewports : null driver
6. This scene uses legacy (pre-v4) medium/refraction resolving that is not based on geometry normals and produces incorrect results when multiple medium containers are intersecting. The scene was loaded with the legacy behavior to make the rendered result more consistent with older versions of Corona, but we strongly recommend switching to new behavior using the button below.

Here are potential solutions to fix your issue:

3. https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/3ds-max-forum/error-please-make-sure-the-populate-data-is-installed/m-p/5685854#M105721
4. Make sure you are using the same version of 3ds Max/Corona and all the same versions of plugins across network.

I hope this helps.

Hi,

It seems like an issue with Xform of your object. Please see the video attached to understand the issue and a fix for it

Hi,

Feel free to send us the scene with the repro by starting a ticket here: https://support.chaos.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

We can always check if there are any fix we can do at our side or if it's a 3ds Max related bug, we can also forward it to the Autodesk team.

PS: don't forget to include the minidump file.
