So most users are not seeing anything near as dramatic as an 88% price increase.

For day one users (like myself) price went from 24,99 per month (VAT inc,) to 42,38 eu per month (price is pre february rise) (VAT inc), without any cancelations, that's roughly 70% increase starting from februray the price will be 45.86 (VAT inc) that's 83.50 % increase. So the most old users who has been with corona from the start are seeing a dramatic price increase.

EDIT - also this is only true if you choose Premium, which includes Phoenix and more, which were not included in the Corona 7 and earlier licenses and had to be purchased separately. So the 88% increase is not comparing apples to apples. There is still the Solo license, which is much more like what the old Corona 7 and earlier licenses were.

Don't forget that by chosing SOLO you lose esential features like floating licence + your old render nodes. For some of the users Phoenix and other chaos bloatware is a useless stuff used as an excusse to increase the price. Even chosing the solo at current price rate is ~45% more expensive with less benefits.

I can't see anyone that uses Forest Pack switching to Scatter when Forest Pack is about 10 years ahead in terms of development and isn't particularly expensive considering what it offers.  Never gonna please everyone I suppose.

I actualy use both, the forest pack and chaos scatter, and scatter sometimes is faster to set up. Yet the pricing of forest pro is very fair, you pay for a product and get to keep the actual product and opt out of paying for future updates if you do not need them.
Corona price increased twice and features added in the past releases are not worth the extra money, adding additional bloatware which is not used, to justify the price increase is not fair. The only thing keeping me in Corona premium is keeping the old render nodes and floating licence. Don't even know what chaos scans and chaos player is, so paying more for mostly same features I had when paid 19,99 euro per month.

Good to hear, instaled Corona 11 today and it is completely unusable, whenever trying to isolate or hide/unhite objects it completely freezes max with ~98% CPU usage, and freezing does not end in couple of minutes, left one scene frozen for more than half an hour with no luck. Reverted to Corona 10 HF1 uninstaled new scatter and the problem is fixed. Few precious working hours went straigt to ass.
Note for self. Never instal Corona until hotfix is released.

For the PSU aim for platinum, you can save a few bucks on ram speed as 7950x3d working notmaly at 5200 mhz max anyway, no need for 6000. Never heard about the case, but that's your choice. Why do you need a soundcard?

Forget all of the prebuilt ones, and build yourself a Ryzen 7950x or Intel i9-13900 system, if working only with corona your primary investment should be CPU, and RAM.

maru, is it normal that when upgrading to yearly subscription via support ticket - your subscription starts from the day you pay? I mean, I've upgraded today to use the 20 percent BF deal, even thou my monthly subscription was active till December 7th, so basically I've lost more than a week of time of active license.

Wow.. just wow, if paid monthly the license price just increased by 300%. Seriously? And to pay more for the stuff that most of us do not use anyway just to keep the previously acquired render nodes is a plain terrorism.
Do you even consider how many freelancers will ditch you for a cracked version now?

Guys, is there anyway to speed up things with 3ds max viewport, material editor, etc. on TR 3990x?
I have 3990x workstation with 128gb of RAM, GeForce GTX 1080Ti, NVMe SSD, Win10 + some HP Omen Notebook with i5-10300H, 16gb of RAM, GeForce GTX 1660Ti, Win11 and the laptop is much snappier in terms of working on the 3d model... at least when it's not too big. It's a bit frustrating that notebook which is 1/10 of workstation price works faster. The laptop CPU is 0,5GHz faster on one core but would it make such a difference?

Why don't you simply collapse the Railclone object to mesh and convert the entire house to a corona proxy? Plus if it is a large scene and to be viewed from a distance, then maybe you could replace the roof geometry with texture.

The licensing server is not working for me at all. get the error "Corona rendering license not found" pressing the Open the License server causes max crash. Contacted the support, still awaiting for the reply.

We will assist you ASAP.

"Awesome" assistance and support, after 6+ hours of support ticket only get a link to a basic troubleshooting page that was indicating solution possibilities that were checked as soon as the problems occurred (Most people are not retarded you know and they can use google to search for simple solutions for the problems instantly). Been with you guys since alpha times, but every recent major release introduces some major headaches in simple parts of workflow where there should be no issues at all.

Any chances there could be a "Ignore Legacy material" checkbox in the converter so the corona materials that comes from old scenes remains unchanged?
