Hi, i'm working now with 3ds max 2014 and corona a6. I have to make a interior scene, there is 3 rooms, but only in one of them corona crushes when acc structure is loading. In every room is the same sun and environment. So, everytime when i start to render in this crashing room i have to reboot my computer.
Edit: now it crashes in whole scene.
What can I do, to solve it? I can't lose my work :/

Do you have enough memory? If so, can you upload me the scene (https://corona-renderer.com/upload/)?

Hi,
i also had trouble with 3dsmax crashing when building the acc structure.
Switching to "BVH full SAH" in the Development/experimental stuff section solved the problem for me.
I have some heavy animated scenes with a lot body objects.
The error occured only on a few frames (always the same)
and only when a "critical mass" of objects is reached, or a specific combination of objects is visible - i dont know.
Every single object for itself on the critical frame renders fine.

I would still love to get my hands on any scene that crashes....

I had the same problem.

Simple scene crashing in every computer below 12Gb of ram, it is a VERY simple scene, I can share it, where can I upload the archive?

The problem solved changing in debug options to BVH full SAH too.

Cheers.

BTW it is with A6, not with daily builds.

Cheers.

ok, I was unable to reproduce the problem in both daily builds/A6, so hopefully it is fixed ;)

mmm but did you test it in a computer with 8Gb of ram or less?

Becuase I only see the problem in computers with that amount of memory, I think this could be related to motion blur, is there a way I can generate a crash output from one of the crashing computers? They are farm nodes, so no max interface i'm afraid.

I assure you the problem exists in A6.

Cheers.

Yes, I tried it with 8GB, and still it works and consumes almost no memory in A7

Weird.

Is there a way where I can extract some kind of report in the nodes so you can see what's happening?

Cheers.

try checking if the minidump file was written to disk, and if so, send it to me. You can also try the A7 to see if the problem is still there

Yes, I'll test one node with A7.

I have a pair of nodes that are not licensed, can I render with A7 via backburner without license those nodes?

Cheers.
