I know there are many workarounds but its not always practical especially with walkthrough animations where you want volumetrics and the scale of the space changes throughout.

In that case why not just use it as a global volume material? I'm curious. Also I wonder if using a smaller volume instead of global would improve performance.

Hi there.
Can we get an option in the converter to enable opacity clip mode in all converted materials ? Recently imported a sketchup model with 112 materials. Doing this manually is a pain in the - you know where :)

Are you sure this hapens because of colour and not because your first texture is mostly either fully transparent, or fully opaque and your second texture is mostly semi transparent? In any case, the bitmap loader shows that both textures are saved as RGB, so technically they are both colour.

Did you try to clip opacity in material properties? Does that makes any difference? Also, just in case, go to devel/debug settings and double check that opacity filtering is turned off.

Hello,

Is it a known...behavior, that the performance in rendering with corona stalls when using a color bitmap in opacity?

3DS Max 2020 - Corona 6.1

You can just drag & drop the color from one slot to the other. It works even between different 3ds Max sessions and between CIE and 3ds Max (both ways). Does this solve your case?

If would be great if we could right click copy, and then paste the color of the lights in the Light mix UI, for both 3Ds Max's and CIE.

Hi Tom,

I really need to limit IR. I can't have the CPU working constantly.

It seems it has to do with how corona refreshes AA.
I had GI vs AA at 2 because I needed a quick refresh on lines. If I change that to 16 or more then it's not as visible.

I also merged everything into a new scene and for some reason also helped.

It would be great if IR worked better with lower values of GI vs AA. Usually Corona has a hard time cleaning up AA in my opinion, when compared to for example Fstorm.

It doesn't happen when I activate 2D pan zoom mode...
It could be a bug actually.

Here's the scene.
It seems or it may be related to the way I'm illuminating the scene.
Also worth mentioning that the geometry has "cast shadows" unchecked and receive shadows as well.

To replicate, start IR and create a box in the room

Hi Dev team,

I have Max 2020 and Corona 6.1.
Any idea why I'm getting these buckets on IR refresh? It started happening a few weeks ago ASFIK.

In this particular case I'm just changing the value of the bump...
