Hey. Someone posted a ED209 model on Facebook, and as a HUGE fan of this robot design i´ve asked the modeler if i can try to render it. So, last night i got the model, modeled this simple room (to have something to reflect) and shaded/lit/render it.

This Robot is so nice that it not deserves a simple scene like that. Too Squared, too "ilustrated". I wanna make some much more visceral and dramatic using it. I am not even using any textures on this render. Only procedural (on the floor).

    So it´s a Wip scene. :)

BTW. I could not get rif of some noise (check the robot Pelvis as instance), sometimes i have this kind of huge noise splotches on "Penumbra" areas . (I don´t know if Penumbra has a translation, but it´s on the darken (not direct light areas with very soft shadow...)

Nice as a wip but the noise is a bit disturbing. Also I think there are some smoothing errors on lower parts of legs.

Yes Maru, the model isn´t mine. And isn´t prepared for turbosmooth.

I´ve added more noise over the image, but there´s a plenty of noise from shaders/render.

Do you have the random sampler set to 5D highdimensional? If not, try it

yes, in the debug tab (you have to activate it by setting UI mode to devel/debug in about tab)
