render slaves...

Hello people

I´m trying to get working my 2 slaves to help render with corona. The system works fine with vray distributed render.

there are 3 computers : 1 laptop (master i7 3920xm ) + 2 slaves ( desktop i7 4770).

for now just instaled corona in master and slave 1

The master , can´t find the slave, even if i mate the txt file with the IP Adress.

But,

The slave finds the master as slave if i want too. And it renders.


Another Thing . I as strugling installing corona , because vray spawner was turned on. but got it to install ok after desabling it in task manager.

But  starting 3d Max a message pops up ( see attatched file please. its a script error .mcr)

any ideas what is going on here?

The issue with one PC seeing one another and not vice-versa sounds odd. I would guess it is some kind of network problem (firewall?).

The script error seems to be V-Ray related so I don't think we can help you with that. Did it start appearing after you installed Corona? Or after you used DR?

i already looked at de DR guide....

i disabled firewalls and antivirus.

The error appeard after instaling corona.

Are you using the same version of Corona on both PCs? Are they both activated?
I have added short info on downloading new version of DrServer and daily builds to the article at the beginning of "troubleshooting", maybe this will help...

Hello

I follow that post you mentioned.
I have last build on all machines.
Drserver is running in both slaves.

I was doing some testing , and both slaves find each other.
Both slaves find, master . If in master Dr server is active and one of slaves turned into master.

I even turned off firewall in master. Slaves do not have firewall , only the windows default one.

In master i also forced in firewall to accept Dr server comunication from incoming and outcoming.

This is getting on my nerves....
Any ideas?

If you are using VRAY try disabling the VRay DNR from startup (services or Start Menu)

Have you ever used Max Backburner for network rendering?

I suggest you to do a Network Rendering with Backburner in booth directions, this is the first
what i do when adding a new Render Client or setting up my nodes.

Hello guys

I solver the problem....

1) disabled windows. Firewall on slaves
2) one of the slaves started to work fine
3 cloned the working slave hdd and instaled in the other slave

Now its working fine....

Of course the two slaves have the same hardware.
