Another small update:

- fixed wrong evaluation of sun if bg is not physical sky
- modified license check from the main thread (at plugin load time)
- make renderstamp usable (even interactively during rendering)
- using photographic exposure from renderglobals instead of camera
- UI updates
- added a Maya 2016 plugin, only with basic testing

Physical sun is now evaluated only if physical sky is turned on and if the checkbox "use sun" is turned on.
The license check is a bit modified. It now checks the license at plugin load time, I hope this works better.
You can now use photographic exposure directly from the renderglobals, no need to select and modify the camera any more.
Implemented GI in UI a bit better.

The swatches preview update is broken. I sent a mail with update and it should work again.

Please download the plugins zip file and replace the plugin files. You
can simply extract it into the mayaToCorona module.

I did it.
but the swatches preview update doesn't update in real time
it is updated only after rendering image

The swatches rendering is disabled during a normal rendering.

It works really well now Haggi. No issues to report.

Only issue would be that gamma is doubled in 2016 due to color management but I guess you already know and it is on the list down the track. :)

Good news are great news ;)

To be honest, I didn't had a closer look at the 2016 implementation. Thanks for report. I'll check it.

Indeed!

I am seeing one issue that reoccurs though. It seems that sometimes when I do a render or region render, Corona will just render a black screen. If I do it again then it will render. It just seems to drop out sometimes or not catch that it is supposed to a render. Unfortunately there are no error messages but the good thing is that it is not a crash.

By the way - the physical sun + sky balance is really good now but the ability to create sunsets is now lost? In older corona for maya, moving the sun would automatically change the sky to sunset. But now it is stuck on blue and the shadows are too sharp when the sun is near the horizon.

I will post a new release next WE with a few fixes. I hope the missing render issue will be reduced. I'll check if I accidently missed something in the sun light creation.

I just have a quick question, is the current 0.39 running the same engine version as the 3ds max version? from a speed/noise point of view? Should we expect the same thing?

Thanks

yes, but there might be some issues in scene parsing, so bugs causing different amount of noise are possible
