And as an aside, we do indeed have a variety of test scenes and other QA tests that all releases go through. Those are continually modified as well when necessary. Even with that, we can't catch everything - but this is not at all the same as expecting our users to be testers; we do our due diligence very carefully before any sort of final release.

A hopefully helpful PS too - be sure to follow the News section on the forum, and / or our social media on FB, Twitter, and Instagram, as we blast out hotfix news there. You can also follow the daily builds, which is where the earliest examples of fixes show up (though we understand with production work going on, not everyone can risk installing a daily!). Thanks!

I’ve noticed a quite significant slowdown when upgrading to R9 to R10 also, so much so that I’m considering moving my whole team over to another engine.

When I get some time I’ll re-download R9 and do some comparisons.

I’m running C4D 2023, Corona 11 (I was hoping it would be better that 10 but it’s not) on a Mac Studio.

Did you put all used bitmaps inside a CoronaBitmap shader?

In one of my scenes where the rendertime went up from 1h20 in C9 to 2h28 in C10 I've managed to get it down again to 1h40 by just using the CoronaBitmap shader for (most of) the bitmaps.

Interesting, but there are so many threads about the problems the Corona Bitmap shader is causing. Curious if other problems crop up even with the faster render time?
