Hello I have a larger winter scene, but it renders fine using 42,5 GB of physical RAM and 58,5 GB of virtual RAM
I want to add fur on the chairs outside that renders OK by itself using 12,5GB of physical 21,7 GB of virtual RAM, however after adding it to the scene it uses 78,4 GB and 123,8 GB virtual RAM and crashes the C4D
Do have any tips why hair objects have such big toll on RAM

Hi there,

Are these chairs going to be rendered up close? If not, is hair really needed for this shot? You could also try converting the hair to splines and using the Corona ''Render spline'' tag to see if this helps reduce things. I also see that you have 3.5gb being used in the Multi-pass. Are all of these elements needed?
