Hi,

I have a scene with a Direct visibility override replacing the sky (background) with a flat colour rather than the corona sky. However when I activate the new Volume Effect, a ground plane seems to be forced over the Direct visibility override. I imagine this is a bug? If not, is there any way around this to have the ground plane disappear, keeping the Volume effect?

Cheers

Iain

Hi, I am afraid this is currently an unsupported scenario, we have it logged for further consideration.

Yes, please consider :) I know it is hard to do but this one and the fact that the effect ends up in the "Rest" element when using light mix are restrictions making the feature hard to use.

Good Luck

Never underestimate the power of a well placed level one spell.

So that's what is appearing in the 'Rest' Lightmix element... I had assumed it was that, but good to see it confirmed. Agreed, this isn't super helpful - likewise it doesn't appear in the Volumetrics element.

Hi!
I second comments in the above posts. I love the new aerial perspective volume effect and the way it enhances some of our shots.
It would be great if it worked fine with other corona options like direct visibility override, not only with Corona sky.
The fact that it appears in Lightmix under "rest" tab is very problematic though.
It would be great to have it under Volumetrics category. Ideally, to have an extra option to render it as a separate render element only (like we can choose with caustics).

Thanks again for the input everyone, hopefully it's something that can be addressed. I have further updated the issue.

Hi! Just a followup on the above before the Corona 8 release.
Will you have a chance to implement some of the suggested solutions to v8?
I think the key one would be to separate the aerial perspective from "rest" element in lightmix.
Thanks!

Same problem here. I have overridden background to get the correct light wrapping around objects but the Aerial Perspective destroys it.

Could maybe have a warning message at least to save the wasting of time trying to figure out what I've done wrong. Perhaps "Aerial perspective does not work with: x, y, z etc."
Specs: AMD 1950X, Aorus Gaming 7 x399, 64GB RAM, 1080ti. Win10, Max 2017, Corona 1.7.3

We should probably consider this, I am forwarding your feedback.
