Hi everybody,

i've got a problem. I need to render product on transparent background with shadows. The product has a glass door and I need to see the shadows through the glass. (see the attached image) This is closest i get. I have shadows, transparent background, transparent glass but the shadows are not visible through the glass.

Floor material is shadows catcher with "for compositing" and "visible in refraction/reflection" is unchecked (object properties).

Any ideas?
Thank you!

My guess, shadow catcher is not visible through door because you've disabled visiblity in reflection/refraction for the floor plane. Enable it back and you should see shadows again.

Hi Romullus,

thank you for your reply.

Yes you are right. The problem is, when i enable "visible in refr./refl." then the glass is not transparent anymore. (saved as .png)
I need an output with transparent background. If the Client put it on colored background, then the glass needs to be transparent as well.
