Why can't you paste into the history bar with 3ds Max like *every* other application in history?

Doesn't answer your question (*why can't you paste into the history bar...*) - but you can paste into the File Name field - including pasting the root of a folder, or a specific file.

@jms.lwly thank you so much for sharing this tip, I never would have thought to try that and it really speeds up file management in the editor +1
