Definitely something for the developers, rather than for me :)

Any progress on the crashes/freezing during cleanup? We'd make the jump onto this daily once that's fixed, as the coronabitmap switch is a god-send.

It disables coronabitmap from constantly polling maps/paths for changes to maps. We discovered this recently, that basically if >1 user is accessing the same maps simultaneously on a server/NAS/wherever then it massively slows down max performance. We identified this issue with Ondra (thanks man!!!) and they've put this switch in as a temporary work-around until they fix the coronabitmap loader to properly handle this. It's a MASSIVE improvement for teams, basically.

I'm now pretty sure it's related to B&G and/or the progress bar. If you don't use B&G or just don't have the VFB post tab open, there have not been any freezes yet.

Good Luck

Are you still on Win 10 v.16XX or 17XX?

Interesting. Unfortunately we use it all the time so.. :/ Hopefully that can be sorted for next daily and we can roll up!

@corona team: unfortunately the switch did not resolve this very nasty one:

I can't find texture baking on the roadmap anymore. I wonder what's its status? Are you still planing to implement projection baking sometime, or it was abandoned?

BTW, i found that baking opacity mapped objects (hair planes), is extremelly slow, but that probably is expected.

Hm, not sure what to think about this, but i'll take it as a sign that texture baking wasn't swept under rug :]
