Right so a photogrammetry project of a tree trunk. Reality Capture to scan, added some Megascans assets to fill up the
scene a little bit.

Awesome, but the leaves look just wrong. Possibly because of no thickness (which should be visible in such scale), and possibly because of appearance (scale, color, detail,...).

You're right they have no thickness, only opacity map to cut out the shape. Maybe adding a shell modifier will fix this?

Thanks man, the moss is a atlas texture from megascans which I scattered with corona scatter. I extracted a densitiy map from the diffuse texture of the trunk. The trunk was made with Reality capture, only thing I did in Zbrush was remeshing and unwrapping. All the high details come from the scanning procces.
At first I had a 34 milion polygon trunk after which my system died :-), I reduced it to about 9 milion for the high detail mesh and extracted normals and displacement from it with Substance designer.
