Hi, I wanna share my sparkly snow shader for static and animation.
Here's a pure render with Corona Glares enabled, nothing more. Bright sparkles are generated by CoronaSun which visible in reflections.

It's very simple as you can see.

I generated pyramids NormalMap for it, because I found that "Carpaint NGgons NormalMap" doesn't give me nice sparkles. Here is 100% crop of this texture.

And a flakes mask of course.

Download rar with all stuff

P.S. If somebody will find it useful please post your examples of this shader :)

Sparkling effect is nice, but your snow doesn't look like it's made of water.

I saw nice closeup snow shader with displace on forum but didn't see snow for distance renders so I made this one.
Do you think it needs some SSS?

BTW for animation we need a fast shader and I think SSS won't be fast

No, I think for distant snow in animation this could work...

Pretty neat, but sparkling is way too fast, too chaotic. Now sparkles appears in different place every single frame, while it should stick in the same place for 2-3 frames to get more pleasing view. Maybe lowering normal bump strength would help here?
I'm not Corona Team member. Everything i say, is my personal opinion only.

Forgot to mention that I already finished a project with this snow and I just shared it :) so I actually don't need to improve it. But thanks anyway and maybe these advices will help people who download this shader or normalmap.
