Yes, it is planned for A7 - it's on the road map, can be found under "bug fixes" https://trello.com/c/ZrRxhsA3/17-bug-fixes

It was moved from A6 to allow for proper integration of the VFB and native C4D picture viewer, plus integration of the 1.5 core features, and a focus on the stability of "everything else" that wasn't IR and Team Render!

Just to clarify, there is IR in Corona for C4D, but it is still a bit buggy and likes to crash. We are however aware of this and are planning a fix.

This must be Windows only for the moment?  I don't have the menu option in the Mac version.

Sorry for the confusion. I must have installed the public A5. So there is no IR right now...
