I think it isn't necessary a Making of. It's very easy scene, heavy, but easy ;-)
Unfortunately, this scene eats 23.6 GB RAM on my Workstation (22 GB on the nodes).
So, I cannot add more detail. Maybe just copy some objects.
I had some motorbike as proxy obviously), but I had to delete, because not enough RAM.

the atmosphere is quite different from a basic render we see everyday... it looks hazy sunny. whats your lighting setup like? or was it done in post? perhaps a raw render would help too. thanks

 yagi, just CoronaSun+Sky + 6200K + 3D fog and 3D DOF.  Play with Photoshop (Color Balance, Curve etc) nothing to special, really! =)
