hello there!
Early this afternoon I tried to install Corona 1.5 RC1
because I wanted to benchmark my new i7 Broadwell pc and obviously to check the new build's goodies!
Unfortunately with win7 sp1 64bit I get an unexpected error which I can't fix
about a win update that is missing (KB2999226) . My ''check for updates'' is stuck and never downloads a new update (can't fix it either...)

any ideas? thanks in advance !

I had the same problem with Win 7 recently. You need to manually install some update to Windows update :)

If my google-fu works correctly at this time of night, it should be this link:

Thanks for the quick reply , I already tried to manually update but
I got the ''only one instance of wusa.exe is allowed to run'' and I couldn't install the update :/
(I tried several youtube solutions but no luck)

Have you tried manually stopping wusa.exe? Here is how (I think so):

Hello,
same issue here, on windows 7 pro. service pack 1 installed and all updates done automatically and checked.
Corona installer asks windows update KB2999226, I tryed to install it manually but winodws says that this update is not applicable on this computer.

There are multiple versions of the KB2999226 manual installer. You need to pick the right one for your system. See this page for the links to all of them: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2999226

However, the Corona 1.5 installer already packs all those KB2999226 installers and should have picked one for you automatically. If that installation failed, it is probable that you need other updates which are prerequisite for this one installed beforehand.

Yes, thank you, I know it and tryed it.
My computer is a 64 bit Windows 7 professional, so I tryed the KB2999226 for x64, but no luck. there is something missing maybe as u said..
I did a total update yesterday already and there is nothing left that window wants to download or install except a Facultative Nvidia update.
I'm going to download it but I don't thnk it could be that.
Thank u anyway.
I will download the Corona 1.4 that I never installed before. If we still can download it.
And if nothing works, well, I keep the 1.3 that I reinstalled yesterday without any conflict.

That is the limite of a box licence, now, I can't install corona on my new computer with windows 10, so boring, I use Art render instead...And the result is not so nice, for sure, eh,eh...with a lot of limitations.
I will have to buy a new licence box of Corona, I think...eh,eh

Probably another stupid question, but I still have to ask :) Did you try running Corona after doing the full system update?

Everything should be installed correctly even when KB2999226 installation fails. It's possible that the KB2999226 detection may not be entirely correct in the installer (it's software, there will always be bugs) and that Corona will run just fine.
