Hi there

I will start sharing our new free models from Turbosquid here. There is more to come.

First there is the Furtif Desk by Roche & Bobois Paris.

Ready to render in Corona 1.3 and V-Ray 3.2.

I hope one or another stumbles upon it and finds it useful.

Thanks!

I got the Nelson bench but unfortunately i can only use the OBJ, cause the Max file is for 2016. Any chance you could upload a version compatible with older Maxes? (2014 would be fine for me)

Thanks anyway! ;)

Thanks for the feedback.

The reason that there is only a 2016 max file is because we admire and extensively use the new chamfer modifier.

I will think about sharing a collapsed 2014 model here.

[Little off topic] It's always a mystery to me why do some people share / sell their models with whole modifer stack in uncollapsed state and represents that as advantage. That's crazy, modifier stack should always be collapsed and all transforms reset in final model. I used to save my models with uncollapsed modifiers, back in max 5 days. Now i can't open those files anymore, as almost all models turned into polygon garbage. [/off topic]

Hi Romullus

Interesting point you're making here. Speaking for me I think I want to share the modeling workflow to the buying client and provide him models with great flexibility. But I hear you and I will consider collapsing the modifier stack.

Regards

Most buyers want to be able to merge model into scene and use it straight away, without hassle with collapsing or reseting anything. However you can deliver uncollapsed model in separate file if such is your wish. That would be ideal situation, me think :]

Collapsed stack + optional Turbosmooth (only if required, and turned OFF) seems to be pretty common. I understand you want to provide flexibility Ben, but if there's no backwards compatibility with older Max versions... that's a quite inflexible limit :)

Thx
