    • personal CG and scripting stuff also few pictures
it would be beneficial if you make the scene with 3point light setup.
And maybe some form of color coded floor (like grey scale 0 - 25 - 75 %) or RGB stripes.

But all and all good idea that should be encouraged

I would not re-invent wheel for the sake of originality, model and lightning has already been done best by Bertrand.
I understand each renderer features the logo heavily but it's everything but practical..

Here's BBB3Viz scene (free) which features color contrast, strong and weak shadows and sharp HDRi reflections. Can't beat this.

I had opened a discussion like this some time ago

http://forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php/topic,764.msg5780.html#msg5780

and I think the model must have the characteristics of flat surface and rounded with variable thicknesses and scales to evaluate the dispersion.
Jeff Patton's model is excellent to evaluate the materials . is a good starting point to create the model of Corona.

Beltrands model for me is too simple.. because is difficult valuated some particular material aspects.. like how it behaves on flat surfaces or to setup the absorption

Anyone has the Jeff Patton's model mentioned before? I would appreciate a link to download it.
Trying to make a Corona material test scene and that model looks nice for testing as you said.

Well I just found a reply from him saying:

"The material lab scene is available for download at mrmaterials.com
Link: http://mrmaterials.com/resource-central.html"

But since the mrmaterials.com is down I can't find any other way to download it.
If someone has downloaded it before please share! ;)
