[Max] I need help! / [solved] Nvidia Geforce GTX 1080

Working on two machines, I decided to move one of two 1080, from machine A to the machine B that didn't really have a GPU capable of running Optix.

So without changing anything I dismounted 1080 from one PC A and mounted it to B, and Optix stopped working for PC A.

I tried:
- Nvidia Drivers Reinstall
- Corona Reinstall
- Nvidia and Corona Reinstal
- Resetting PC
- Manually deleting 5.1 files
- Unpacking and Manually installing 5.1.2
- Offline Installation of Optix
- Online Installation of Optix
- Deleting %appdata%
- Doing the programdata thing

Everything that I found on the "Learn more" link and more:

Error encountered during denoising.
Unknown error (Details: Function "_rtCommandListExecute" caught exception: Assertion failed: "!m_launching : Memory manager launch is already active", file: C:\u\workspace\rel5.1-win64-cuda90-VS2015-build-Release\sw\wsapps\raytracing\rtsdk\rel5.1\src\Memory\MemoryManager.cpp, line: 962

Any other ideas what I can do?

Hello,
I would like to request to change the LightMix behavior
As for now all coronamtl's are excluded from Lightmix and moved to "rest", I would like an ability to "Include Corona Self Illumination".

Im working on a scene that will have lots of neon lights and I waned to make them change colors but also have reflections and render quickly

Its possible if I shell it and add 2 materials, Corona Light and Corona Mtl Thin, but that is not efficient.

Im making a scene with 20~ neons that I wish to control without render time spike.

I believe that would benefit the community as people often use self-illumination in interior and exterior scenes, and having all those in "Rest" creates difficulties.

The scene contains 2 Cameras with similar settings.

Both were created using the same method
Create > Camera > CoronaCamera
Moved both target and body to 0;0;0.

When using "Perspective" In the bottom right menu (one of those 8 icons) 3ds Max Crashes for one of them.
What is the cause of this situation?

Hello,
when sending job to backburner the corona lightmix resets the "Rest" to default valude 1. Color does not change.



Also are you planing to add the "rest" render element? It really screws composition on some images nothaving that option.

So far I figured out that you need to set all lights to "off" and leave Rest to get that, but is that really a solution?

Im working on a series of images for LASHCODE, Im pretty happy with this one.

Yet Im looking for more feminen hand (best if rigged) if anyone has some good source, that I can use. Please give me a hit :)

- Corona
- PS (1-2 clicks + Chromatic)
- Max

So, Im pretty happy about the result, what do you guys think? This one is part of more than 24 image's series.

Hello,
If you render bloom and glare pass to save it as PNG. The effect only appears on the outline of the object.

In my opinion that pass should have nontransparent background. Is it possible to implement? *

*Because of 3ds Max beeing a retarded program changing the output format of render element often results in errors, so that is not really a good option.

Ok, all good works fine.

But how do you make the Direct Visibility Override 255 white?
At this moment there is no option to skip tonemaping.

So often I have this
I start 3ds max scene, do my stuff save it and start IR for tweaking or something. BOoom crash and all my 3ds max settings reset I even get the fresh install welcome screen.

Does anyone else experience this?

Well at this moment when I try to use CoronaShaders that are set to RealWorldScale the triplanar is reading its "tiling" walue.

Can you please make is consistent?

Environment mode: Dome

Place an object somewhere XYZ, move the dome to the said position.

My example 1500;1500;0

Dome light does not produce proper light.

Image shows the effect.

So problem that I tried to solve on Facebook, but it didn't bring much of solution as there is no perfect one.



So I want to put my 360 map exactly at one spot X Y Z, but when I use DOME mode it turns my floor in to pancake.
(See Attachment 1 and 2)

So people told me "Use Sphere yo", yeah but report done.

I found a solution Attachment 4, but It also resulted in 5. What can I do to fix this situation? This seemingly easy task turns in to some frustrating war with bugs and nonexistent solutions from my perspective.
