Hi Sam,

Do you still need help with this or is this solved?

Hi,

Yes, these errors might be related to the issue you are facing.

1. Can you let me know which version of Corona you are trying to install?
2. Please confirm if your C drive has enough space.
3. make sure you are running the setup as an administrator.
4. Check if your system language is set to English.
5. Can you make sure that your username does not include any special symbols other than English A-Z alphabets.

Hi,

Currently, its logged in our system and it seems like implementing this is not very straightforward because it is one of the 3ds max limitations, but we may be able to do this in future. We will update you when that happens.

You can use Corona converter to quickly convert standard 3ds Max bitmaps to CoronaBitmaps.

Does this now work safely with all image formats?  There were issues previously with tiff files

I quickly tested converting a standard bitmap containing a tiff file to Corona bitmap, it seems to be working fine but I will look up for any issues regarding this which was reported before and update you.

Edit- This was reported to Autodesk as this is a 3ds Max issue not Corona and I quickly tested with 3ds Max 2024.2 and Corona 11 HF 1. It is not yet fixed.

Hi,

Yes, the LUT changes the intensity of pixel values and it affects the appearance of the B&G effect. For example, there is the threshold parameter which determines the minimum brightness necessary to apply the effect, when the LUT changes the brightness of a pixel, it can change the decision whether the B&G is applied or not.

Could you please share more details about how you got this error? If you can share the steps you took before the problem occurred would be helpful in troubleshooting and assisting, you with a solution.

Also, what version of Corona you are currently using?

This is already logged in our system and might be available in Corona 12.

[Max] Feature Requests / Re: Corona Material Library
« on: 2024-02-01, 13:13:43 »
Hi,

Yep, once the Corona library materials are updated to Cosmos, the textures will indeed be in (.tx format) which is a bit different from the usual image files you might be used to. But don't worry, you can still open and edit these in Photoshop. Just use the "Open as" feature in Photoshop and select TIFF as the file type. This way, you can work on the .tx files directly in Photoshop.

Keep in mind, though, that if you're planning to make changes to the textures found in the Cosmos folder, after editing, when you save them back, you will lose mipmapping of the texture.

If you're looking to maintain the mipmapping, then try to do the following.

open as tiff -> edit -> save as some other losless compression format -> convert to tx using maketx tool which can be found here(https://docs.chaos.com/display/VMAX/Misc+Tools#heading-maketx1412)

I hope this helps.

Hi, I may have understood your request but are you referring to the "pass limit" option that is available in the scene tab in Corona render setup?

Can you let me know which version of Forest Pack you are using?

I tried the repro steps and went even further with adding more forest pack objects, but it still does not crash but if I keep going and reach my resource limit then OfCourse it may crash.

Can you perhaps share a scene file by starting a ticket so we can investigate it further?
