[C4D] General Discussion / Re: Colours in ID Pass
« on: 2021-02-16, 09:19:31 »
Hello,

I will need more information regarding both issues.
What is your ID pass ID setting? Material?
1) I created 16 cubes and 16 Physical Materials - I am attaching an image with my results, in which I don't see pretty much any colors that would blend.
2) Are you talking about copying a material (i.e. creating a new one that's identical) or copying a material tag (i.e. assigning the same material to multiple objects)

Please, disclose further information so that we can try and reproduce this better, having your scene would help us immensely when identifying the issue.

Thanks,
Jan

C4D crashed the MacBook when I tried zooming in for a new render.
Hopefully Laubwerk and Corona will not let us wait for long for native versions. It took Laubwerk a year to update Surface Spread for R22.
If your on a Mac and doing archviz, C4D, Corona and Laubwerk are a great combination. But I always feel that there is a mismatch with updates, version, OS etc. I am in the market for a much better workflow considering all the hassle keeping stuff tied together.

Hello,

attaching a bugreport or the problematic scene is always appreciated and saves 95% of the time investigating the issue.
If that's not for some reason possible, please, try to include some steps, dependencies, corona/c4d versions, OS versions.

Thank you,
Jan

Do you mind first sharing how exactly did you do it? We will then move it to Resolved so that future users can find help in this thread :)

Thanks,

I was able to reproduce this issue just as you said - issue is passed to the developers to look into.

[C4D] Bug Reporting / Re: Intel denoiser - visible seam
« on: 2021-02-11, 11:57:28 »
Would it be possible to render more passes and report to us that behaviour? It is simply possible that 2 passes are not enough for quality and denoiser is powerful but it's not magic.

Thanks,
Jan

Hello,

not in your scene and not in any of mine i get this intel line, not even in R20..

Can't really say what's the cause from here, sorry.

Thanks,
Jan

PS:I'll ask around if someone knows within the company

Hello,

thank you for reporting this issue - yellow is the default color after something goes bad within the code, so I am definitely passing this forward to the developers.

My colleague reported he was hitting some NaNs in your scene Daniel, it can be connected, we are looking into this.

Hello,

I cannot reproduce this on Windows at all, we will try it on Mac shortly.
Thanks for the ECC memory suggestion, we'll look into it as well.
What corona and C4D version are you using? Please disclose iOS version as well.

Thanks,
Jan

I have tested this locally and I confirm this issue, it got somehow lost in our internal ticket repo so I re-created it and will bump up the priority on this, as I can see this being very frustrating.

Thank you for reporting,
Jan

Corona Material Library is on our V7 plan, we hope to deliver it in a daily build before the release.

@Jojo render,
I should have a testing build this week that has the fix for relative paths in Team Rendering, so fingers crossed.
