I think over all it is a great start, I do see what people mean about the overriding displacement.  Here is a quick example nothing fancy a ground from megascans and a decal from megascans.

But this is also based on ones thinking of Decal. If we are thinking of this like a sticker on a surface then I would say it is very close to working as it should. Example you have a sticker you place that sticker on you window that
has dirt on it the sticker takes the displacement of the dirt on the window.

Now if the hope and I think what some people are thinking is this would be like two geometries as in example three.

Test_01 I have both displacements on and it does project to the ground but it removes the displacement from the soil texture
Test_02 Removed the displacement from the cloth and the texture wraps to the dirt displacement (Sticker or Decal) 
Test_03 Made geo from the cloth texture and now you have a interaction like you would expect in this case or close to it.


I don't think what has been done is useless just for specific conditions and still Rad. Lets be positive progression always takes time.

Sorry to add one thing I there should be an addition to map around something. Say you are doing a decal that wraps 360 around a cylinder there does not seem to be support for this
currently maybe some work around but would be nice to have the option to have different decal types.

I rather have the new materials new tone mapping and realism. There was some big pushes made by the new vray eevee is getting better and better and new unreal. Corona team I support
how its going lets see those big changes. Clippers can come later. I know those are not direct one to tone comparison of engines just my point is they are making some big leaps and i think
and hope corona does this in V7.

New version still will not install....kinda getting a little crazy

MaxInstaller_release.exe-Application Error

The application was unable to start correctly (Ox0000142) Click ok to close the application.

Tried as admin tried a reboot nothing. 

Same here. Is this only small subset of users who are unable to install V4 daily builds or it's more global problem?


Yeah I am not sure not hearing much about this it seems to be a bad .Dll file someplace but i have tried everything and cant find any errors
I was able to install the service pack just fine. I also tried a complete uninstall and reinstall and still no luck.

Update: ran a sfc /scannow no errors to fix still trying some thing.
update: ran update on graphics drivers still not working ran trouble shoot compatibility changed some registry entries
basically all the things windows has you check to fix this error and still does not work.

Yeah also ran as admin and still get the same error. I was able to install the new service pack just fine but not the daily.
