The screenshot is of a c4d native material, not a Corona one FYI.
Have you tried converting materials in the scene (option under the corona menu)

Interesting. C4D is certainly starting to look overpriced these days.
I dont think I'd ever switch to 3DsMax though. It feels like its part of the old generation of apps.

If im going to develop new skills I'm looking more at the Unreal/Houdini universe. Or even Blender which is the cheapest of all! (Corona support would be much appreciated, hint, hint)

Regarding loading the HDRI error:
There aready exists a registry entry with identifier net.maxon.image.pixelformat.{Alpha#net.maxon.image.pix16f,Blue#net.maxon.image.pix16f,G

I used to get that error sometimes in older versions of Corona using those Maxime Roz HDRIs. I'm not sure if this is correct, but I think c4d bundled those hdri files as an library asset from Cineversity. The conflict appeared after I started loading the same HDRi from my personal HDRI folder while also having that library installed

Thanks for the replies.

I'd already made a fix using a black and white luminosity texture in c4Ds Physical render similar to what you suggested Burnin (its quicker to render and has better anti-alising than doing it in Corona).

Shame it doesnt work properly in Coronas Material ID pass though.

I have a decal applied to an object. And assumed I could use a material ID to make a mask for tweaking in Photoshop later - but I can't seem to get it to work. The mask just stays black.

I'm giving the material a material ID number in the advanced tab of the material editor. Then ticking Material ID and adding the same number in Corona's multi-pass dilogue. (Screengrab attachd for ref). What am i doing wrong here?

PS. I do it with Object IDs all the time.

You just want the white outlines so you can make selections? You'd be better off using adding a Mask from multipass for those objects. Or am I misunderstanding?

If you want the white outlines for artistic reasons, you can just use Cinema's Standard renderer with a Cel Render pass

Make one metal material. Make one green oxidised material. Combine them into a layered material. Use Corona AO as a mask in the layered shader. Tweak settings until you're happy.

Use Cinemas Filter node and reduce the lightnesss value.

While we're on the topic of the HDRi in the sky object, can we get the offsets in degrees not percents?

s22 shouldn't break plugins AFAIK. So Corona shoud work OK. I wouldn't rush to download yet though. There are bound to be some bugs in it

Looks like a bug to me - better to report it. It's the same in my viewport (r201). Haven't used rayswitch much, but don't remember it doing this last time i tried

in the Performance tap of your Renders settings, there is a Displacement screen size box. Try setting the number lower (ie. 1)
