[C4D] I need help! / How to set up motion blur or motion trails for post production in After Effects

Hi Forum!

I am working on a website intro were there is 3 robots zooming in from the distance into camera view. They want this bit to have motion trails kind of like Tron light trails or long motion blur trails. The rest of the animation needs to be in focus. I am scared of sending the project to my render farm using Coronas native motion blur as I don't have any control over the final output and rather do this in After Effects. I have looked at RSMB but apparently it as issues with Corona and vector pass? What are my options to get my Corona renders into After Effects to create this? Never used motion blur so any help would be great :-) Thanks! John

[C4D] Bug Reporting / Crash beach balls and hangs...

Hi Forum,

Over the last two days I have had a few crashes were after the crash it just beach balls and does not create a bug report file so I can't retrieve my lost work 😭. Any idea why this is happening or how I can at least get a bug report file to retrieve work? John 🙏

Hi Corona Forum!

Lately I have had Corona crash while editing texture settings. This used to be a problem before and I have not had this for some time. Luckily it saves a crash version every time so have not lost any work but thought I'd post it here. I think it happens with Sieger textures but cant't be 100% sure it is only this. I will send a crash report next time it happens 👍

Hi Forum,

I am having trouble with my two other Macs TR. On my MacBook Pro I am working on keeps showing 2 nodes running even if I have 3. Then it drops to 1 node. Some times it lists all 3 but all others are idle. What the hell is going on??? HELP! 🙏😳😳 PS: All 3 Macs are running the latest hot fix. If I restart clients they pick up but then drop out after a while.

Hi Forum!

I did my first job with volumetric material to create visible light rays from stage lights. I have created a cube around the whole scene with volumetric material and rendered it at 1080x1920px with 80 passes. The light rays are really grainy and ugly. How do I fix this? Thanks :-)

Hi Team Corona!

The last version of Corona is crashing often with TR. When I load a project and set it to render first time it crashes often but once I have re-loaded the scene from crashed file and re-saved it seems to be stable. 🤔 John.

Hi Forum!

I have a question. I am trying to map some displacement gold text on a wooden gun handle. The first one I did I really liked the texture fit (spherical) of the wood. Then I put together a layered version with the gold text on top but I don't like the mapping (flat) of the wood. Is there a way to combine spherical (for the wood) and flat (for the raised gold text) somehow in the layered material? Many Thanks :-) John

Hi Forum,

My 27" iMac died last night but have managed to re-format it back to life. I installed Corona but it is now in demo mode. How do I un-install Corona to start again so I can register my licence? I have a pay per moth licence by the way.

Hi Forum!

I saw that Motion Square has converted their library of textures for use with Corona. Has anybody used it yet? I have a question if so. I have the library for VRay and Standard C4D renderer but had problems rendering with Team Renderer. Would this affect Corona? John :-)

Hi Forum!

I had to create a display out of glitter perspex. I did struggle to get the effect of glitter with a super gloss top. It would be great to have a car paint shader similar to Vray. Is this likely to happen in the future? Many Thanks! John 👍

Hi Forum,

Happy Friday all 👍😎 I am working on a project where I have 12 cameras all set up to render with Takes. For some reason when I specify sharpening in the Corona settings it does not set it to 3 but 1. Also, I have turned Bloom & Glare but it still renders with. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? Thanks! John

I am currently working on a visualisation of a exhibition project. There will be two ceiling mounted projectors. How would I go about creating the wall projections onto the wall? Should I create a spotlight with a gel of the image in front? Any help would be appreciated 🙏👍😎 John.

Hi Team Corona,

Just wanted to give a BIG 👍 for the final release. Have not had a crash yet. Only problem I am having is with my old ageing iMac 27" 2011 not rendering on TM. Can't wait to see what you have in the pipeline for the future 😎🙏 John
