Hi,

I have a big problem. I made some visualizations for the client and after a week I come back to the scene. I found out that some materials were lost! More specifically, C4d layer shader and a combination of several noise shaders. Now I do not remember the exact settings and the client requires it.

I'm angry, should I explain to the client that I'm working in a corona for C4D that contains bugs?

please, give me an advice

If you use sky + Corona Sky, they will be added together. That's why the first picture is so bright. So maybe to fix that, you should use Corona compositing tag with everything except "seen by GI" and "cast shadows" disabled?

 I don't wee any issues otherwise.

Of course, I did it wrong. Corona Tag to Corona Sky.

beanzvision: this is the case for HDRI lighting.
I want to use the corona sky + sun and put only the sky in the background.

Hi coronauts,

what is the right way to set the background, eg sky background?

If I create a C4D sky object and apply material- in the diffuse HDRI map slot from hdrihaven (standard or light without emit light), the sky is faded, hardly visible.

If I apply the same material in render sett./ scene environment overrides, the sky looks beautiful. The problem is that it causes white dots that only disappear with denoising amount 1!

Is it a bug, or am I doing things wrong?

I use C4D R21, windows 10

I have a few problems here:
1 / does not work sketch poly in tile editor
2 / second or next layer is not displayed but is black

I'm doing something wrong?

Why are there no more complex materials in the examples file, such as bricks from the tutorial? Is it a secret that will have to be purchased further?

A layer shader with filter shader is very slow to set up during IR rendering.

The new R21 build is really good! Thank you.

But I still have a problem with preview material on an object. When I use shared shader and texture with filter or layer shader. When you change the parameters of the shader filter, the texture in the view is lost. the material on the object is only displayed in gray. Does anyone else have this problem? Is there a solution?

Hey guys,

I am addressing an HDRI update issue. I have such a normal exterior scene and I want to set the atmosphere. I use HDRI to lighting the scene. I turn off all unnecessary instances (grass, flowers, etc.), leave the trees for shadows, let go of IR, wait, have coffee :)
IR running- change camera position for composition - very slow viewport. I will change the HDRI texture twice because I don't like it. Third, they no longer appear in IR. So stop and again IR, parsing scene, waiting again, coffee again.

How do you do it with exterior scenes?

Yes, we need it urgently. The roadmap is scheduled for Q4 / 2019, but no progress yet.

Exterior scene or many instances can be created, but with a lot of time and suffering. Also, I do not know if it is possible to speed up parsing time, but for a slightly larger scene it takes too long.

FWIW, a quick mograph setup.
SurfaceSpread is more versatile, of course, and got an all-in-one interface, but I could add user date for more convenience.
Now I am off to watch a few Corona Scatter tutorials to see what more it offers. Curious about the collision avoidance.

is there any way to set the minimum object size? And the minimum distance of neighboring objects?

You may not need a Corona Scatter if everyone has a MoGraph in C4D. Several scenes or tutorials for MoGraph would be useful. But multi-instance is a necessity as soon as possible, now it is impossible to create an exterior scene without killing time.

The real question is - when we add multi-instance support, will you still need the Corona Scatter so much?

Multi-instance is an absolute necessity. Corona Scatter may be easier to set up in the future than Mograph, such as surfaceSpread.
