Hi, C4D r26 with v9 takes sometimes very long to startup, Maxon support has confirmed it was Corona plugin causing the delay when starting the application.

Gotcha!
If you still want Bloom as a separate pass you need the components pass. Virtuall beauty still baked bloom in my case.
Case solved, thanks for the tip on where to look for.

If you look at the image, although BloomGlare is disabled as a pass it still gets baked onto the background. Is it not understandable why one may want those passes separate, similar to caustics pass, that has this option?

Hello,
it would be very helpful to add an option to add bloom glare in the pass only (Caustics already has this option). This way when I render into PV via  "Render Marked Takes to PV" command I still can save beauty pass without BloomGlare baked onto it.

I was just about to report this problem. It only happens if physical material is plugged into layer material. Legacy materials are copied along to a new project fine.

IIRC the UV mapping on Corona Bitmap is independent of material Tag settings, those are applied over it.

I will try to illustrate what I need Corona Bitmap to do. Basically within one shader to reference two different UVW map tags. For example, if you have leather and stitches. There is a different mapping for leather and different for stitches. Although one workaround right now would be to use triplanar for leather and uvw tag for stitches.

Is this something you could slide into corona bitmap function? Since Projector shader seems to be notoriously buggy.

I uploaded the scene using the private uploader. Open file Bugreport IR.c4d. I have not uploaded textures as the scene crashes even without textures. How to duplicate crash? Open Corona VFB and hit IR. Scene crashes mostly when, camera is moved, sun is moved or a object is moved.

Unfortunately crashes returned. However, I cannot find minidump.dmp file, no such file exists on my drive, (macOS)

For me, disabling force path-tracing and switching off multipass made IR stable again. I use latest Mac OS, r23 and v7. I had the problem of Vray crashing because of the corona, but corona does not react the same to vray,  because it was crashing when vray was not installed.
I will include minidump.dmp should the crashes return.

We also added option within Corona Bitmap to scale/position the bitmap to dissuade users from using the problematic (on our side) Projector, which we believe is the primary use for the Projector.

Is it possible for corona shader to read a specific UVW tag? that would solve a whole bunch of problems. I have asked for this feature here:https://forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php?topic=32200.msg180944#msg180944

Ah - I'd missed that in the Corona bitmap - thought that might help with me needing to layer a single logo bump over the main tiled bump in the leather material from the library - but I can't get the single logo to not tile with th eoptions in the bitmap shader - guessing as the C4D material itslef is set to tile?

you can try to use displacement from a material tag underneath, corona passes displacement information onto upper material tags.

Hello,
is there something that makes IR crash more often? E.G. the use of Xref objects. I have a complex scene that crashes every time during IR. I was hoping to get some tips before having to upload the whole scene.

what has helped to avoid crashing:

tick off:
Force Path tracing
Enable motion blur,

disable multipass,

moving frame on the timeline from -5 to 0.

Lowering output resolution

I think it was only "force path tracing" though because crashing returned when I had it checked once again.
