Unfortunately, the lessons were only available online. There is no record of them. It was sponsored and organized by Chaos, so you might discover something about it.

Thanks, I found this out as well. :)

I know its been mentioned MANY times before, but I really feel that the ability to do this with cornona lights is a much needed feature. Pretty much every other engine can make sharp spotlights for this puropse. I'm really not sure why it seems to be in development limbo

I am with you on this and have always pushed it. The current way Corona lights handle textures is not usable imho. The fight continues :)

Thank you for replying. So, Nikos Nikolopoulos utilized this technique during the Archviz Masterclass? I'm not sure whether you saw it, but he was able to effectively manipulate the Gobos, etc.

I haven't seen it but feel free to share a link and I'll check it out. ;)

For best results, use a standard C4D light, a standard C4D material and add your texture to the alpha channel. Assign it to the light and change the projection to flat. Turn off ''tile'' and adjust the scale if need be. One thing to note is that this will not show up with IR but it will with a final render. If you want IR you can use Cinema's IRR.

Also note that my settings screenshot was from the tile map connected to displacement.

These look great. Love the black wood. I could definitely live there :)

Like this? *Edit Sorry I just saw this is for 3ds Max.

I think if you lower the gap thickness in the displacement tile to something low like .001 it should work. I'm new to Max also so I could be wrong ;)

Ahh what an idiot, the read the whole thing completely wrong lol. Okay, I'm with you guys. I agree, it's not working and I'll make a report of it. Sorry for dragging this out :D

Depends, but 6500K is default. Also, why are you using such an old version?

Your white balance is 2000K :) As for the black one, it's mentioned in the error message. The tint is black, change it to white.

Perhaps you could try updating Corona V7 to the latest and also share the tone mapping settings?
