Gallery / Abstract forms with Corona for C4D

hi there. just messed around with Corona A7.2 for c4d.
absolutely impressed with this renderer so far.

total rendertime for forest scene - 7hours with 500passes on i7-4790k (2700x2000px)
GI/AA Balance 32 / Light samples multiplier 2

total rendertime for studio scene - 40minutes with 300passes on i7-4790k (3200x1800px)
GI/AA Balance 16 / Light samples multiplier 2

any suggestions how to reduce rendertimes? as far as i have seen, reducing GI/AA balance will dramatically reduce rendertime. why is that?

make sure your models are small enough to be DOF'ed. i can still sense and feel depth in your particular render, but it is small, because of scale. i can see through your camera, the focus distance is 10 meters in front, so thats the reason there is no noticeable depth. rescale everything and try again

smaller objects -> bigger depth of field effect
