[C4D] I need help! / Corona Light Soft Shadows

Hi,

I am desperately trying to create a scene where a light source creates the shadow of an object in front of it on a plane ahead. Please see the attached screenshot. Here I used native Cinema4d light to create soft shadows of the plants on a plane.

However, when I render this scene in Corona the shadows disappear. I have tried to use Corona light to create these shadows but have been completely unsuccessful!!! I can't figure out how to create these soft shadows. I have also attached the .c4d file. I would really appreciate it if someone can solve this for me, give me hints or even better show it on the cinema4d file and share it back!!

I have been stuck on this for quite some time.

Thank you so much! Using native C4d light worked. If I am using a spotlight, how can I make soft shadows?? I have been trying to change the distance but the shadows are really hard and sharp.

Hi,
Please see reference image 1 that I am trying to create in C4D with Corona renderer. I used opacity on a plane and added a bitmap Gobo on it's texture. Then I placed a light source behind it hoping that it will create some beautiful shadows. I was trying to create what they mentioned here on this blog: https://www.schoolofmotion.com/blog/professional-guide-to-making-renders-look-better-designing-shadows

However, when I tried it, no shadows were being formed. Please see reference image 2 to see the light settings I used while testing it. I have also attached the C4d file if someone can check it out. I will really appreciate your help!

Hi,

I am new to C4D and Corona renderer and would appreciate the help of this community. I have attached reference images showing these various lines flowing on the surface of objects. And in the other image, the surface is broken up into wavy segments that are colored differently. Marked with a blue marker on both images. How can I achieve this? If there is a Youtube tutorial or any hints/links that you can provide, it will be highly appreciated!

Hi,

In other renderers, there is this roughness parameter (like in Octane and Redshift) under reflection that gives the object a rough noisy texture. How is that achieved in Corona? Attaching an image for reference whose texture I am trying to make.

I am very new to C4D and Corona renderer. If you see the attached image you can see materials with striped patterns and circles all over the surface of varing sizes. How do I create that using cornoa materials? I want to be able to repeat a pattern I make as a png be added on materials.

Though I have learnt most of the basics about Corona renderer through youtube videos, but I am not even close to making materials and lighting the way I want to. Are there any paid/unpaid tutorials that teach the basics to all advance methods about Corona renderer?
