Thank you. As a workaround I just duplicated an emitter object and turned off particles.

Once added particles to my object (tree) I can't see it later on in rendering, although Render > Emitter is checked ON.

Where I can download 1.6 ? Is it still free. I download some demo/trail v1.6 for 3DS Max, and it works but only for 45 days.
