Hello,

I thought its worth a shot posting this here.

I remember back in the day I used to dabble in Flash and Dreamweaver, currenly Im a bit out of the loop.
Im looking for an offline web page builder, preferably WYSIWYG with visual programming, and preferably with a non-subscription model (although I can imagine thats hard to find).

Alternatively subscription base, but I would like to get my own seperate hosting for my webpage.

Would be oblidged if someone could point me in the right direction.

Would be great if this could be implemented, is there a reason why its not possible to save 16 bit .Tiff out of CXR?

Hello, would be great to have an Override material that could be added to any object in the scene and have it affect (include/exclude) other selected objects based on:

1) Reflection/refraction
2) Cast/recieve shadow

So basically this is object properties settings but its per object basis for Corona Render.

For example: I have 2 spheres in the scene and a box - both have the same material but one has this override material : which makes the box reflection not visible just for this sphere (it is visible for the other sphere).
I know this might not be physically accurate, but sometimes this is needed for certain situations (also will remove post processing to achieve this effect).

Unless I am missing something and this is possible at this moment?

[Max] Feature Requests / Turn mesh into corona light

Not sure if I am missing anything, but why on earth is this feature not in Corona yet?

Back when I was working on Vray, they had an option to turn any mesh into actualy Vray light (convert the mesh) instead of using light material.

Please add this to corona, being able to convert mesh to actual Corona light, without the need of using corona lightmaterial (that causes noise and other problems, and should not be used to illuminate big spaces).

Does anyone know why is Corona Interactive Preview reseting itself without any interference on my part, before a decent preview is rendered?
Please bare with me, but I am actually getting fed up with this.

I would like to get a preview in the frame buffer, so I can leave it and it does not reset every so often.

PS. Im still on version 6.0

Im curious will there be (or is there) a converter from Corona 6.0 (or just standard Corona mats) materials to Corona 7.0, you know for lazy people? ;)
(just like its possible to convert Vray to Corona using the converter).

Would be nice, especially with all the 3d libraries one has, if indeed the new materials are that much superior to old mats.

Still on Corona 6.0 untill the stable 7.0 gets more stable (from the threads I read :P), will be making the switch sooner or later.

Hello,

Ive been recently thinking of adding VR in Unreal to my toolbelt.

There are at least 4 different licenses, and I am unsure what license would VR for architecture be categorised in.
There are 2 standard licenses, "Creators License" and "Publishing License".

Tried asking on Unreal forums, with little to no luck. Only one person replied stating that such work would fall under free category (not paying anything), which I highly doubt.

I would appreciate if someone could share a little bit of info on this.

Would be grateful if something similar was implemented (I think there are batch render plugins and addons but not aware if there is something similar already built in Corona Render?)

I am looking into Unreal Engine, I was wondering if there are any plans to make Corona Render compatible with Unreal Engine the way Vray is now (from what I have seen and read, did not dive into it that much tbh).

I just installed the newest build, and I am getting errors on 3dsmax 2016 load regarding corona, and do not have Corona available in my render selection roll down. Is there anyone on Max 2016 that has newest Corona build working for them?

I know there is a disclaimer before installing (that you dont have 3dsmax 2016 to test Corona on). This is a crucial moment in time for me, as I have access only to 3dsmax 2016 and earlier, I will have to make some important decisions depending on how this unravels.

From the tests I have done it seems its not possible to use Corona AO as masks for other slots in my shaders.

Is there any other option to mask edges for other purposes using corona materials (faster way than unwrapping).

Hello,

I am rendering a couple of animation sequences, the loading times for parsing scene is quite long, takes aproximately 2 - 3 minutes, with usage of half of my computers RAM, and oscilating between 50-60% of usage of processing power.

I read that parsing scenes takes time because of low RAM, however this is not the case here. Is there anything that I can do to remove parsing times? 2-3 minutes extra parsing times for each of the hundreds of frames is quite unfortunate.

EDIT: More information about my scene (as per information here: https://coronarenderer.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/5000675854-system-is-running-low-on-ram-you-may-experience-excessive-parsing-times-and-or-crashes-you-will-pro)
[altough I know all of the points below are mainly to lower RAM usage, which is not necessary in my scene)

1) I have only 4 passes including Beauty pass; no atmospherics or AO pass - denoising 4 passes only.
2) No displacement
3) No super high resolution textures
4) Lots of instances and proxies
5) Resolution in HD only (not full HD)
6) Ram usage 50 percent, so I have enough RAM (47GB RAM usage, ~82GB RAM installed total)

Any info would be appreciated.

I am having problems saving approximately 11 Hdri files from Corona VB all at once. When saving one everything is fine, it takes approximately a couple of seconds but saving in batch just causes max to freez for up untill one hour (at that point I decided to brute force close 3dmax).

Did not have this issue earlier; I have enough RAM (48 GB), and enough hard disk space. Passes include a volumetrics pass. Resolution is ~4k on the wider side.

Does anyone have or has had similar problems?
