[Max] General Discussion / Re: What's the difference?
« on: 2015-02-26, 18:30:08 »
It is a simple illustration with the multimap being the long one in the middle.
You attach variations of the same input, read from left to right. ( see Colorcorrection nodes 3 of them making 3 different inputs to the new map )
This map has several modes, one is instance, which automaticly takes 1 scene object with this shader model on and produce a vast amount of color differentiation over all instances.

Everything that is replicatable in a scene physically needs this new map in one way or another.

If you for example wanted to give your floor planks some slight color and/or other variation, you would be better off with something newer than A6.
You see, we got a new map that works realy well for those scenarios.

Attached a displaced plane with 1 million trees and only 3 variations mixed.
You would have to find a different route to accomplish this with A6 I belive.

RC3 loads and plays back files, I have no issues so far.

First post I guess.
I'll give it a spin.

Gallery / Re: Apples
« on: 2014-11-04, 22:22:05 »
Apples have a small amount of water particles that are somewhat circular with good will, by far - the rest are oval, odd shaped, Offset into the base mesh ( real life ).

Your scene:
Particles are all spheres which bears no marks of displacement on final renders. ( generic look with missing random/odd shaped particles. )
No offsets of individual particles from surface in either banks ( tiny, small, medium, large)

There is a waterline break in the right that hurts my eye as there is no curvature from the tension between apple and water. It may be there / or is not visible, but visually it caught my attention, especially paired with the Saw like shaped figure that made me think it was a nasty unwrap artifact, highly doubt it however.

Else nice.
Looks like a fun project.

Installer worked flawless on first deployment.

Normal "lamp" :) and corona lamp in following screenshots.
The images should provide full information on what feature I would like you to bind up so that we can port data from abitrary lamps to corona lamps.
Lamps=lights.

9
Input variable field is not following max standard size. See standard lamps for correct lenght.
I surgest to move the "on" feature on another line and expand variable field in order to read more than ~3 digits.

Looks like Corona lamps doesn't have Light Multiplier hooked up properly.
Im trying to load a custom curve generated on a default max lamp and the load window does not show.
I can sync parameters in other ways, but since this is a native workflow it would be nice to get hooked up.
