I just found that if I open the saved image in Photoshop and assign the same color profile as my monitor is using, it converts the image to just like it is in VFB.

This should work and help a lot.

Thank you anyways guys

Hello guys,

I have a problem with the display of colors on my screen. I will try to summarize. So a year ago i bought a monitor (DellU2723QE) and i started to have some problems because there is always a huge diference in what I see in corona VFB and the saved image.

I attached an image were you can see the diference between the vfb and the saved image. I took a photo of my screen with my cellphone because if I took a printscreen the image again displays incorrectly and would show no diferences.

Things I noticed so far: If I open the saved image in Paint it will display correctly just like in VFB. Also the saved image on my right screen (Dell U2715H) displays correctly.

If I open the same image on my cellphone it shows incorrectly just like in my main monitor using windows Photos for example. I also tried diferent formats when saving but it dosen't work.

I know this has to do with color profiles or something but I tried many things so far. My main monitor is set to sRGB and the right one is RGB (it just shows rgb or YPbPr as color options)

Is there a way to solve this? Have this problem for quite some time now :S

Sorry for the long boring post

Thank you all! :)

Hello guys,

Maybe this is a noob question but I have this problem since ever. Why is the image we see in corona VFB is always so much better than the ones we save? The images we save despite the format are always more dull/washed out than the ones we are seeing in VFB.

TIF format for example helps a little bit but then after post production and saving as jpeg the problem remains. To show better I attached 2 images were we can see the diferences between the formats and the image we are seing in VFB.

Surprisingly to me, the printscreen i made (preview 2) also reduced the quality in the image. I mean, here im seeing even bigger diference betwwen the jpeg - tif - directly from VFB

Does anyone has a solution to this or is it like this normally?

Thank you all

[Max] I need help! / Exterior viewed from the inside
« on: 2022-06-13, 02:06:06 »

Hello guys,

maybe this is a noob question but i work with corona render for some years and never understand how you can render an exterior scene viewed from the inside without getting all burned. I'll try to explain, if you decrease the exterior light (hdri or corona sky) to a point were we can see the exterior, then, we won't see the interior good enough. On the other way around if you increase the exterior light to a good point for the interior, the exterior will be all burned :S

I attached a picture that shows this problem with a current project im doing.

I try to balance this problem using artifical lights but i dont know if its the proper way.

Does anyone has a nice way to solve this "problem"?

Thank you all :)

Hello guys,

Thank you all for your kind answers. I guess i didn't knew about this "use settings from map" feature! Very nice and now its more convenient to change those parameters.

Thank you

Hello everyone and many thanks for your replies.

It seems that every option has some complexity with it. I guess i'll stick with material ID map and do the correction in post pro. It annoys me a bit because sometimes i need to send drafts to the client and thats why i always try to do everything in the 3d software.

Thank you all

« on: 2021-06-09, 01:45:49 »

Hello guys,

I have a question if anyone may help me. I use 3ds max and when we try to color correct vegetation for exemple, often times we get a multisub object material with several materials attached to it (leaves, bark, soil etc). Those materials usually have difuse and translucency color to be corrected. I normally make a color correction map for each map on those slots wich is very slow and hard to see in the vfb since im color correcting each leaf at the time.

Isn't there a way to color correct all the leaves materials at the same time? There are also some materials from maxtree or forestpack wich i give up at the beginning given the crazy amount of materials attached to a multisub object lol

I hope i made myself clear.

Thank you all

Hello guys,

Maybe this a noob question but here it goes.

When i plug a photo on the Directly Visible Overide slot and setup a white environment, when i render the colors (specially the sky) are not the same. Is it possible to fix this? I have attached a printscreen

I do ask this because i like to use some photos as background in some renders. I know i can do that in PS but i really like to setup everything inside VFB

Thank you

[Max] I need help! / Corona Material Library
« on: 2018-06-07, 03:16:42 »

Hello,

I'm using corona material library for a while now. The materials are awesome by the way.

I have some doubts about units and uvw maps. My system and display units are meters. Strangely Wall Paint Matte sometimes dosen't work. I've already tried decreasing/increasing corona triplanar uvw scale and uvwmaps. What kind of concerns i should have using material library when working in meters?

I know i have to move to a diferent unit cause i also have problems using floorgenerator and some cscatters :|

Thank you all*

Im thinking in attending the 5SRW course as well. Do you you think it worth it using corona?

Best regards
