Depends on whether the pass requires rays cast into the scene. If it doesn't (e.g. material ID wouldn't need that), you can check "Render only masks" in the General tab of the render settings for Corona.

Only if you are using the NVIDIA AI Denoiser are they important for denoising. And that's the only thing a GPU is useful for on a render node.

(You can try the daily build of 8 that came out yesterday, if you want to try Corona in R25 now - once that daily confirms there is no problem, we will be putting that R25 compatibility into Corona 7 and releasing that as hotfix 2)

Just a reminder that the wording is we *want* 8 to have M1 support - this does not guarantee it will have, though; as noted, it's not an easy task. So this is not a promise that it will be in 8, just a statement we would like it to be. All depends how development goes and what unforeseen things crop up.

Right - as I said "So moving it out of that column was just a bit of a catch up on that new approach." - the new approach was adopted after we'd already started setting up the roadmap, and not all of it was edited to fit the new approach. Til now :)

Do remember that we've changed the way that the roadmap works - previously, anything we were thinking of having in the next version got moved into that column, but then people got angry if something was in there and did not get done. So now everything lives in the pool of big ideas until we start work on it, and until that works shows that it will be ready in time.

So moving it out of that column was just a bit of a catch up on that new approach.

(This also means just because something is in the pool only, does not mean it is not being considered for the next release - just that we won't move it into the next release column til things look fairly sure that it will make it in)

Bear in mind that Photoshop is terrible at handling EXRs. Be sure to use the free EXR-IO plugin to load them into PS.

The Corona Renderer website, purchasing system, and license server will be down for planned maintenance, lasting an estimated 2 to 5 hours on Sunday September 19th, beginning at 3pm Prague time.

Actually, nothing really changes for Corona for animation. All animations is handled in the host software, things like keyframes, skeletons, rigging, and so on - so best to check the host software tutorials for that.

Since animation is "just a series of still images", https://coronarenderer.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/5000515648-how-to-use-the-uhd-cache-for-animations-and-stills- is about the only relevant info, which details changing the cache (if you are using it) to Animation rather than Stills, and whether or not you want to try saving and reusing the cache (for simplicity, best just to ignore that and use the default Calculate From Scratch while starting out).

Other than that, and the info of "always render to an image sequence, never straight to a video file format", that's all there is to it in Corona. The rest is all host software!

If using Corona 6, you'll have to use a layered material to get the wet look - or just download Corona 7, why not? :)

See https://coronarenderer.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/5000524006-how-to-report-issues-3ds-max - this also includes the other info we need, such as which version of the host software, which version of Corona, if this is every scene or just specific ones, how to send in a scene where this happens to you via private uploader, etc.

Which version of C4D and Corona? Can you share a screenshot of what you mean? Everything is fine here with icon sizes in 4K for me.
