Title: Z Depth pass problems
Post by: johnnyswedish on 2018-08-31, 22:07:28
Hi Forum!

I have a (probably) simple question. I want to create DOF using z depth pass but struggling to get a smooth gradient from front to back. I can use the values but I have 8 cameras in the scene. How do I use the camera settings (IE drag the focus distance and depth distance with the green camera triangle) to control the Corona output? Hope this makes sense. In the camera settings I use to use the 'DOF Map Rear Blur' to create a good b/w depth pass. Thank you 🙏👍 John

From Corona menu, start Multi-Pass.

Under Geometry select ZDepth and add it to Active passes.
Enable.
Select ZDepth in Active passes list, options will show up.
Set to your preference.
For your case you'd most likely want to use Camera clipping.
Clipping settings are under Camera Details tab.

Have fun...
