Sooo, finally I managed to finisch my precious watch. C&C are warmly welcomed.
Rendertime was 15 min. on an i7 920 2.67 Ghz.
-
Very nice! This will be definitely frontpage stuff once it is finished. My advice would be to crank up the contrast (in postproduction).
And you also have the Best. Username. Ever. ;)
-
I do like it! :D
-
What was the render time BTW?
-
Woah, very nice render! I love the reflections, very artistic :)
-
This is why i fall in love with Corona, man you did a fantastic render here !!!
You know i'm working also on a watch XD
you rock guys can't wait the next release !
-
Hello my friends.
Thanks for your kind words, keeps me going on :) I realy feel your renders as well !
@keymaster
- Haha, yeah, would be an honor to see this baby on frontpage, I´ll keep on posting. Got some more stuff up my sleeve ;)
- render time was somewhere between 15-20 min on an i7 920...
@Chakib
cool man, can´t wait to see what you knock out :)
-
I'm always interested in seeing lightsetups for such scenes, would you mind sharing some details about how you achieved this smooth look?
-
I´ve just build a simple 3 point setup using corona rectangular lights, nothing special.
-
Day by day, better and better renders are poppin` here :)
I like it too...looks fresh
-
Thats looking great, I think the brushed metal to do with a little tweakin' but still its awesome :)
cheers

Frontpage stuff! - http://corona-renderer.com/

Great man, I´ll spread the news ;)
-
Oh God i fall in love with the new one :D 15 min for such a beautiful render, it's CORONA BABY !!!!
-
Very nice, any post work ?
I think it looks better with more contrast:
-
Havent done much post work, only added DOF and some levels adjustments. I´m still a little noobish when it comes to post production, thats why I asked for C&C ;)
What looks better is a matter of preference. For me, I find less contrasty scenes to be more realistic...

You didn't use Corona's Dof ? Why ?
-
Using it in post gives me a faster response playing arround with the quality of the desired output. Regarding earlier post here, corona DOF is still quite noisy, what means cranking up settings wich increase render times. Maybe I don´t understand the benefits of using the native DOF, but for me I get the desired effect plus massive time savings adding it in post.
-
Wonderfull !
Very nice render.
I'm jealous !!!
-
I'm suspecting this scene would run great in interactive Corona (http://forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php/topic,285.0.html), would you be willing to share the scene with me so I can record an interactive rendering video, and run live demonstration at some promo event for our university? I would of course not share the scene and you would be properly credited.
-
That´s great news :)
No problem, I´ll share the scene with you as soon it´s presentable for live demos, etc. !
-
I would like to up the ante and try it in my GPU renderer (handles subset of Corona, thanks to Keymaster's support), also for a presentation (and possibly a paper publication). All credit is always given in the final version.
(current state on Rawa's scene is:
the loss of chromaticity is YT, not me)

Awesome Work man...
