Right now on backface the material renders white. So it becomes useless for trees. Or maybe there is a solution for this?

Hi have you tried using a map (same as diffuse but more bright) in the translucency slot?

I don't have my scene open but vegetation shader is so much easier in Corona and looks far better than the one in Vray (but not as super good as Maxwell :- )...but like 90perc. of it).

Single shader:

Diffuse: {Optional}"CoronaFrontBackMap" Front:Dark,satured Back:Light,desaturated
Glossy: {Optional}"CoronaFrontBackMap" Front: More glossy Back: More matte

Translucency: From Spring to Summer {0.3--0.1} I use maybe lower than some people.. The map is brighter than diffuse, and more yellowish in hue

Bumo {Optional but highly suggested} Larger shapes reading normal map in "CoronaNormalTex".

Works absolutely great. Compared to Vray, you keep nice highlights with translucency, just like read world (and unlike "paper" feel)

edit:fixed a typo

I haven't tried any options, I'm a totally new user. I just converted vray material to corona material via converter 0.19. Here are screens from material settings.

Is the problem that I used standard 3dsmax bitmap instead of Corona FrontBack map that I just found? :)

No, the problem is that Corona (but also other renderers, like MentalRay, or Maxwell,etc..) use different 'translucency' compared to Vray2Sided. Vray2sided map is BW because it only takes intensity from it, but the color is still derived from diffuse of material.
In Corona, the translucency map drives both the intensity (through average luminosity) but also color. So vegetation will always use colored map in translucency but I write that in the above post.

Converting a scene from a different renderer and hitting F9 usually isn't a very good idea. Just play with Corona's diffuse colour and translucency value and colour. Corona's materials are extremely intuitive to setup.

In Corona there is also an option that works similar to Vray's 2sided material but it is in a form of map - it's called CoronaFrontBack map. It lets you assign different maps for different sides of faces.

A jeśli masz jeszcze jakieś pytania to zapraszam do polskiej grupy na facebooku (link w mojej sygnaturce). :)

Above in the material slot, Translucenty - fraction, what value you normally use here for a leaf or grass?

Ups, did a typo, was supposed to be 0.1, not super low as 0.01 :- ).

You mean between 0,3 and 0,1 in the translucency slot below, right?

I mean the Fraction value with the red interrogation mark.
What value you use there (for e.g. grass)?
