Hi there!

I'm running on a not working render farm for 10 days now and I don't know what to do.

I am recently updated 1 workstation and 3 nodes to 3ds max 2022 (from 2018) with Corona Render 7 (hf 2).
Thinkbox Deadline was installed fresh. Everything using the latest installers.
Deadline is also properly licensed, working fine.

- I re-installed graphics drivers on all nodes.
- I tried different drivers if they would make a change.
- Every node is up to date.
- I'm not using plugins besides itoo Forestpack and Xsmp/sigershaders materials. Forestpack is also installed on all nodes with latest versions.

In a simple test scene using both plugins every node but BEAST works fine.

Beast will print out two different error logs:

https://pastebin.com/mJUzYA05
https://pastebin.com/QwFaxQsn

In what I call normal scenes (but not at all heavy) no node will render submitting the job through deadline.

In the case of a failing 'normal' scene these error logs are produced:
https://pastebin.com/PgfK9dEV
https://pastebin.com/hsaRdHYg
https://pastebin.com/MBvHHt5f
https://pastebin.com/M3cxYPeP

I really need help..

Thanks!
K

Which release of Deadline are you running?
We run 10.1.16.9 Release in Combination with Mas 2022.1 and Corona 7HF1
I know that 10.1.17.6 and 10.1.18.6 are causing issues with Corona 7 HF1.
Not sure if the issue is solved with 10.1.19.4 latest release.

FYI: We recently updated Deadline to version 10.1.19.4 without any issues.

edit:
not that smoothly ..... anyway, some jobs render fine other do not. But there is a workaround.
Jobs which do not render when submitted from inside 3ds Max, will render when submitted from the Monitor by Submit/3d/3ds Command or by Submit/3d/3dsmax

I reported this on Deadline's forum:
https://forums.thinkboxsoftware.com/t/deadline-10-1-19-4-3dsmax-2022-1-corona7h1-some-render-jobs-only-render-when-submitting-from-deadline-monitor/28597

Update:
A better solution in the meanwhile is to reset the Corona Render settings.
I never thought we would make use of the "Reset Settings" button in the Render Setup menu of corona in the Scene tab.
But if you do so, you can send renderjobs to deadline from Max.
All problematic files, I have tested so far, which did get errors in the past render fine now.
