I don't know C4D so I'm not aware of UI differences but in 3ds Max I would:

-about noise: portals are necessary here, in 3ds you make portals by creating single-faced planes with CoronaPortal Mtl and put them in the window holes from the outside. I would also render a GI and direct light passes to see if the noise comes from GI or direct lighting. If it's from GI, I would slightly increase PT samples (32?) - this should improve GI quality without much time loss. If the noise is from direct light, I would decrease PT samples (unless it makes much more noise in GI) and increase direct light samples multiplier

-about AA: if you want better AA, then you should decrease PT samples but it will always be at the cost of GI so see point 1... :)

Generally, adding portals should totally change render times here so what I wrote is simply guessing.

Hi,

I think your light (from the outside) is to strong.
I have seen this AA-"problem" in one of my scenes..

Try turning this light down (Even in the bedside-lamps) and get more "fake"-light into your scene.
Some base lighting should be possible with some openings behind the camera (just indirect light).
Maybe you can put the wall´s behind the camera a bit down an try it.

Hope it helps.

Another thing is to very carefully take a look at your maps/textures and how they are filtered.
(Bump works good with standart MIP)..

Cheers,
Nico

..or you can try to just place two plane lights into the openings (without sky,sun,IBL...)

..:)
and another thing;

I dont know how you light the pending light.
Try placing sphere lights outside or inside the bulbs and exclude them from the bulbs.
On the inner part of the bulbs just place the "light material", but not to strong.

Maybe this helps with the ceilling part..

Ok, how you like.
Just my ideas about how to maybe fix it.

Bit I think we would need the portal material also in c4d build.
Hopefully it comes in future releases.

Cheers
Nico
