I can put bitmaps in displacement and everything works fine, but as soon as i put proedural map in displacement slot and hit render button, max instantly crashes. Tried with noise, cellular, checker - all crashes.
max 2014, alpha 5, win 7 64bits, 4GB ram

As flaviomac said, all my examples seem to be working in the later versions. Can you provide some simple scene where the crash happens, just to be sure the bug is already gone?

Sure. I'm attaching very simple scene - plane with default material and noise in displacement. Render settings untouched. I can successfully render this scene 2-3 times in a row, but eventually max always crash to desktop.
I'm using legacy build of alpha 5. cpu Q6600
